Vale calmly looks about with his hands up, searching for the voices. He scans their emotions with his mind.

"Come now," he says with a soothing voice, "we want no trouble. You have no need to threaten us with violence. We are all bound together in this ordeal, and only by working together can we stop this ship and save the galaxy from destruction."

Clark remains silent. He also focuses on trying to locate the Imperial Commander's position.

Second level of Strange alien ship/station in 'Otherspace'

Vale Starcloud stood in the midst of the room with his hands out stretched and calling for calm while stretching out with the Force; calling on the power of Empathy to attempt to determine where thier opponents were and what they were feeling. He could feel 5 distinct beings; one human and feeling a strange mix of fear, resignation and anger and 4 of the strange aliens they had enountered a couple of times before on this station/ship; and they were HUNGRY....hungry to death, destruction and the ending of all life....

From a position on the far edge of the room, behind a boulder-like object with heavy webbing to either side, Commander Bane Nothos let out an irritated sigh and responded to the Rebels with a; "Rebels....you'll never learn will you? TAKE THEM!" The last two words were yelled out in a loud, commanding voice while he also rose up in a crouch behind the boulder and sighted down a Blaster Carbine and fired a shot at Vale. Perhaps it was luck....or perhaps it was the Force; but the young Jedi twisted his head and a moment later a bolt that a second ago would have slammed into his forehead, instead merely grazed his ear*; leaving a burning sting, but no permanent damage....

Four of the spider-like beings dropped or sprang forth from hidden positions in the webbings above and to either side of the Rebel band and they raced in to do battle with bone-chilling cries....

One dropped towards the highly alert Professor Clark, but he looked up at the last moment and jumped back, which saved him from the large; multi-limbed alien from landing on him. The academic noted that this group of aliens was NOT wearing the energy-weapon-mounted-armor suits that they had encountered before, but the sharp claws were still QUITE a threat.....

The same alien that attempted to drop onto Clark, lashed out with its claws at Jackson Crodowski; but his armored clothing saved him as sparks flashed from the force of the blow, but the claws were turned aside from his flesh due to the protective shirt....

A second alien dropped onto Zinn Vallimar and the pilot was smashed into the ground with enough force to drive the breath out of his lungs and to feel a couple of his ribs crack**. Luckily, the Rebel's full suit of armor kept the claws from cutting deep into his back as the alien roared its anger and frustration at being denied lashing into the human's flesh...

A third alien exploded out of some side webbing and slammed into Zuul with enough force to knock over a human or a less bulky humanoid; but merely bounced back from the solid Barabel. In a fit of anger and rage, the alien lashed out and a pair of deep cuts were sliced into Zuul's chest and the Barabel hissed in pain and he could feel from the strange warmth that radiated from his cut that the alien's claws pumped poison into him. Luckily, the Barabel didn't feel any ill effects from the poison, though the cut was painful enough to be somewhat distracting***...

The fourth and final alien attempted to drop on a kneeling Gavin Storm, but the one-time-smuggler looked up and rolled away to the side in time to avoid both the alien from landing on him, but also to leap back and away from the claw-slash....

Things had certainly turned interesting for the Rebels in a hurry....

OOC: Bane Nothos is in cover and is about 40 meters away; the 4 aliens are all in melee range (all of them within 5 meters or less from pretty much the entire group)

*Vale was Grazed.....he's fine

**Zinn is Wounded (-1D for all actions)

***Zuul is also Wounded (-1D for all actions) and Poisoned; but he made his STAMINA roll this round and thus far, the venom has had no effect.....it MAY in the next couple of rounds....

If Clark can get a clean shot he'll shoot at the nearest alien with his blaster carbine. Otherwise he'll attack it with his bayonet.

Gavin will attack the creature that tried to drop on him using his vibro blade.

Second level of Strange alien ship/station in 'Otherspace'

The battle between the aliens and Imperial Naval Officer Bane Nothos and the Team of Rebel Agents continues....

The pain of his wound and the burning of the poison pumping thru his veins from said wound are ignored at the moment as Zuul draws one of his large knives and slashes out with the blade biting deep into and thru the middle of the multi-limbed alien facing him. A large amount of greenish-yellow liquid, presumably blood, comes leaking out as the alien lets out an ear-shattering scream and collapses to the ground, its legs curling up towards its middle, but still thrashing every now and then showing that the creature was alive, but clearly very badly wounded. Zuul didn't feel that great himself, but he stayed on his feet, doing his best to ignore the pain emanating from his wound and heat that seemed to be increasing inside his body....

Professor Clark aimed his Carbine at the Alien that had just missed him and he fired a point blank shot that slammed into the Alien in the center of its Torso. It stumbled and let loose a screech, but stayed on its feet for an extra second or two before Jackson Crodowski put a second bolt into it, causing it to collapse to the ground and cease all movement....

Vale Starcloud called out to the Force and he raised his hand while attempting to yank the Blaster out of Commander Bane Nothos' grip and while he failed to do so as the plucky Imperial officer held onto the weapon with a strain in his arms, he DID cause the bolt the Imperial fired to be shot harmlessly into the ceiling as Nothos called out in fear and frustration; "What trickery is this? RELEASE MY WEAPON REBEL SCUM!"

Zinn Vallimar did his best to heave the heavy alien on top of him off of his body while also firing his weapon at point blank range, but unfortunately for the pilot, his shot zipped past the Alien's head without making contact. The alien let out a screech and slammed one of its clawed hands down into the Rebels' helmeted head. The Claw did not penetrate the helmet, but the force of the blow was enough to slam the poor Pilot back into the ground with his ears ringing and to lose consciousness*....

Gavin Storm drew his Vibroblade and flicked the weapon on with his thumb before slashing out and cutting a nasty, ragged scar in the torso of the alien in front of him, drawing greenish-yellow blood and a screech of pain. A moment later, the Alien lashed out with its own claw and a similar scar was cut into the Smuggler's chest**. While the wound wasn't that bad; a moment later, Gavin felt like he was on fire and strange visions of whole populations going mad with rage and despair and pain began to cloud his mind; almost causing him to lose sight of the situation in front of him was....

OOC: One alien is dead (near Jackson and Clark), one alien is Incapacitated (near Zuul), another is Wounded but on its feet (near Gavin) and the last is Fine (near Zinn). Nothos is fine, but is currently 'wrestling' with Vale for control of his Blaster.

*Zinn is Incapacitated
**Gavin is Wounded and Poisoned, but is on his feet and able to act at the moment; Zuul continued to successfully fight the poison but obviously remains Wounded

Zuul

Zuul ignores the dying thing at his feet and the burning in his blood, and races over to help Gavin dispose of his target. He lashes out with his knife, hoping to exterminate the bug.

"It's no use, Bane. You can't win," Vale says calmly. "Join us. You do not yet realize your importance. With our combined strength, we can destroy this ship and save the galaxy."

He continues to use the Force to wrestle for control of the Imperial Commander's blaster.

Second level of Strange alien ship/station in 'Otherspace'

Professor Clark takes quick aim at the alien that had just knocked out Zinn and he put a bolt into the creature's mid-section, causing it to roar in pain and snap it's head around to look balefully at the academic for a long moment....

That moment ended when Jackson Crodowski* snapped a shot of his own into the same alien, dropping it to the 'ground' of webbing; where it curled up and failed to move again....

Zuul rushed forward towards the wounded alien fighting a wounded Gavin and with one powerful slash of his large knife, he came close to decapitating the alien, which fell twitching to the floor with blood pumping out of its gory wound in random patterns. As Zuul took a deep breath and felt the heat of his wound begin to die down; he glanced over at a wild-eyed Gavin whose hand was kind of twitchy and whose vibroblade was clutched tightly and audibly still on.....

Gavin lashed out at the alien...THING....that had just hurt him, but he missed and then another alien.....THING....rushed forward and killed the first monster that had hurt him a moment ago. Gavin felt his mind cloud-over and a slow rage and lust for blood begin to rush through him and the scary looking reptilian monster near him holding a bloody knife looked like something that SERIOUSLY needed killing**....

Vale Starcloud kept his concentration on the Force and used his Telekinesis power to 'pull' the Blaster towards himself and out of Bain Nothos' grip. With a start, the Imperial officer suddenly let out a snarl and let go of the weapon, causing it to 'zip' across the room and to land at the Jedi's feet. Meanwhile, the Imperial officer yanked out a grenade from a pocket and arming it he yelled out; "WHY DON'T YOU TRY AND REALIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS, YOU REBEL SCUM!" while winding his arm back to launch the explosive....

*ybn; you still out there amigo? I took the action I thought Jackson might take....hopefully you're still good to go amigo

**Greywolf: Gavin failed his Stamina roll, so the poison is making him crazy...making him want to KILL, KILL, KILL....it's NOT permanent....but while its in the system, this is the effect

OOC: Couple of quick note; Zinn is alive but unconscious and just thought I'd mention that Blasters CAN be set to Stun.....no particular reason why I'm mentioning that.....:)

Gavin has some uncontrollable urge to keep on killing aliens and since his vibroblade is already in hand hacks away without mercy.

Zinn finds himself drifting in an alien starscape; he has a sense of his body, but it is vague, somewhat undefined, as though he were not so much corporeal as simply...there. Looking about himself, he took in the tableau all around, not recognizing any of the constellations he could see. He could, however, somehow sense the myriad life to be found, could feel the ebb and flow of uncountable life forms. His vision swam, and he suddenly found himself seeing double the area; once more the vertigo, and again his field of vision expanded, granting him a view of what appeared to be most of this strange galaxy.

A strange, shimmering effect began to to appear around the edges of Zinn's vision; a host of the strange, spider-like aliens appeared, swarming the galaxy and beginning to ravenously consume it. The horde continued to grow in number, blotting out the far edges of the galaxy and moving towards the center. Zinn suddenly found himself transported to the center of the infected space, and felt the similarly discorporeal presences of his comrades; they were all presses back to back, struggling mightily to turn back the growing tide of monstrosities as it closed ranks around Zinn and the party...

Vale sighs sadly, seeing that Nothos will never come around. "So be it."

He continues to use his force powers of telekinesis against the grenade, attempting to force it back towards Nothos as he throws it.

Zuul

Zuul's eyes narrow as Gavin lunges at him.*"So you show your true self at last! He knew thiss time would come!"

Zuul tries to avoid the blade by dodging.

*Assuming that is what's happening
