Second level of Strange alien ship/station in Otherspace

The band of Rebel Agents burst into action as the Floating Globs with tendrils moved in closer to them. Vale and Clark ran as far forward towards the ramp on the other side of the membrane wall as they could before a pair of Globs blocked their path. The young Jedi slashed out with his blue-white blade, causing one of the globs to suddenly burst like a balloon, leaving strange pinkish liquid here and there and falling in two deflated halves with tendrils still wriggling.....

Professor Clark slammed his vibro-bayonet equipped Blaster carbine; a keep-sake from defeated Bounty Hunter Crutag the hunter; into the other Glob; leaving a large hole and tearing one of the tendrils off and causing a slow leak of liquid from the bulbous, floating body...but it stayed in the air and active....

It lashed out with its remaining 3 tendrils, one of which the agile Professor dodged while the other two wrapped around his brawny fore-arms and did their best to entangle the Academic with a surprising Strength*....

Gavin Storm opened up with his Blaster, firing a trio of shots at one of the approaching globs and hitting with 2 of the shots that tear it to liquid and flaps of rubbery 'flesh' that fell to the floor in a gooey mess....

Zuul stops next to him and likewise puts a well-placed bolt into another floating 'creature' that bursts like a bubble and becomes little more than liquid and mushy remnants on the ground....

Jackson Crodowski stops next to Zuul and Gavin and fires off a hail of blaster bolts as cover fire; hoping to force the globs to pause or retreat from the Rebel group; but the globs do not react in any way towards the hap-haphazardly fired bolts and only one of the shots clips a target; cutting off a tendril that falls on the ground, still twitching this way and that....

Zinn Valimar, in a daze at the scene, belatedly rushes forward to where Vale and Clark are and he fires at the third glob approaching the group; but misses wide in his late, rushed shot....

*Clark will have to make an Opposed STR roll to break free and take other actions....if failed, he can't take any more actions, if he succeeds, the Opposed STR roll to break free counts as 1 action. He will need to beat an Opposed roll vs. the STR of the glob (i.e. Clark's STR of 3D+1 vs. an unknown Skill code to do so, higher roll wins....Force points may always be spent) Difficulty number to do so. He is smart enough to be able to know that the Glob has enough Strength if it gets a good grip on him (i.e. wins the Opposed roll) it can lift him up....or do something else....like toss him, etc. He can also tell that the more tendrils that get a grip, the worse it is for him.

**The Rebels are now in two groups of 3; Vale, Clark and Zinn are about 10 meters or so from the membrane wall with the exit ramp on the other side while there is about 5-7 meters between the two groups; and then Zuul, Gavin and Jackson in a second group of three. There is 1 wounded/damaged glob in melee contact with Clark and 1 untouched Glob within 1-3 meters of everyone in this group. There are 2 destroyed globs in pieces on the ground; and a pack of 6 untouched and 1 slightly damaged globs in a loose semi-circle around the rear 3 Rebels (Zinn, Gavin, Jackson) all about 5 meters away at the moment.

Gavin advances and continues to give cover fire shooting again three times at any remaining globs.

"Get your stinking tentacles off me, you damned dirty glob!" Clark cries out as he struggles mightily ((using a Force Point)). If he breaks free, he will attack again with the vibro-bayonet.

If Clark does not manage to break free, Jackson will fire at the blob holding him. If Clark does break free, Jackson will yell "Let's go! Let's go!" and will try to catch up with the other group.

Vale uses his lightsaber to slice tentacles off of the blob attacking Clark. "It's alright, trust me! Don't move!"

(Does lightsaber training help in this regard, or is that just for parrying blaster shots? I don't have your Force powers document with me. If it does help, Vale will close his eyes and feel the Force flowing through him in order to cut Clark free of the monster.)

Second level of Strange alien ship/station in Otherspace

The battle between the strange, tentacled 'Globs' and the band of Rebel Agents continued….

Professor Clark, in a surge of raw strength that most usually don't associate with Academics, manages to yank free of the tentacles that had grabbed him and he lunged out with the vibro-bayonet attached to his Blaster Carbine, slicing a significant chunk of flesh out of the creature, leaving it with only 2 tentacles still writhing this way and that…

Vale then reached out with the Force and his blue-white Lightsaber, with its distinctive hum, was then swung in a tight arc that ended with the weapon slashing into and through the Glob that Clark had just sliced, popping it like a balloon and leaving it in rubbery mush on the ground….

Zinn Valimar snapped out of his reverie and he put a pair of bolts from his Blaster into the other nearby Glob that was hovering near the trio of Rebels that consisted of the Pilot, Professor and Jedi Student…his bolts eliminating yet another Glob and leaving the way clear to the thin membrane wall that seperated the ramp out of the area and the three Alliance Agents…

The other trio of Rebel Agents burst into action against the larger group of Globs near them with a flurry of blaster bolts and Jackson Crodowski racing to the other 3 Agents near the membrane wall while calling out for his fellow Rebels to join him in a hurry…

Zuul, laughing as the adrenaline of battle kicked in, opened fire on two different globs with his Blaster Carbine; 'popping' one into a mushy mess and slicing off a chunk of a second glob….

Next to him, Gavin Storm slowly backpedalled while cutting loose a flurry of blaster bolts as 'cover fire'; but was dismayed to learn that unlike most sentient beings, the globs seemed to have little regard for thier own safety and none of them were the least bit inclined to seek cover. This DID have the benefit of one of the globs, the one damaged a moment ago; to take a hit from a blaster bolt and join its 'popped open' companions on the floor in a pulpy mess….

The remaining 5 globs, one of them damaged, moved in close towards Zuul and Gavin; closing to within about 3 meters, thier tentacles wriggling and reaching out for the Barabel and Human Smuggler-turned-Rebel….

OOC: The Lightsaber Combat power allows the Jedi to be able to utilize the Lightsaber effectively without having to worry about accidentally slicing off his own arm or bringing a wall down upon himself. No need to actually 'use the power'; rather learning it in 'game terms' means the Difficulty number of using a Lightsaber drops from 20 for someone without the power to 10.

Clark fires his laser carbine at the globs which are still approaching Zuul and Gavin. "Come on, let's get out of here!", he urges.

Zuul

Zuul wakes up and notices almost everyone is at the door. "Come on Gavin, time to go!"

Zuul grabs Gavin's arm and gently guides him towards the others, shooting one glob as he does so.

Seeing how easily the party has been taking down these death balloons, Vale figures they are more or less safe for now. He shrugs and exits up the ramp with his lightsaber still charged, and scans for enemies ahead of them. He keeps a defensive posture and prefer to parry, only making a single attack to defend himself if parrying isn't possible.

(OOC: No offense intended….the last comment read: ADVANCES and shoots while Jackson's read IF CLARK BREAKS FREE HE WILL CATCH UP WITH THE OTHERS…..Zuul's did't mention moving forward at all, so from my perspective that means Zuul is now last, then Gavin, then Jackson and the others….apologies if this isn't what was intended but I DID state that Gavin backpedalled while firing…..so, from my perspective, these last couple of comments means that the situation has Zuul seeing he is last in the line, turing to run towards the others and seeing Gavin next and saying "let's go" while Clark yelled for BOTH Zuul and Gavin to get moving. Basically, if you tell me your shooting and moving…but don't say RUNNING or SPRINTING or CATCHING UP TO THE OTHERS, I'm assuming it's a fighting retreat. My bad if that's not what was intended, but I wanted to explain my reasoning. This is a game being conducted by 7 different people's 'take' on the situation, so there will be some cofusion from time to time…sorry.)

No offense taken just don't need to keep getting told it's time to go... been trying to but trying to kill the enemies on our well everywhere.

Gavin "I am going! You want me to leave the enemies in pursuit or you want em dead?"

Zuul

Seeing Gavin race ahead of him, Zuul picks up the pace and follows along. Shooting as he goes.

My fault. Zuul is quite thick-headed at times. :D

Vale Starcloud uses his lightsaber to cut a makeshift 'doorway' through the thin membrane 'wall' and moves out of the area they were just in and walks up the ramp which opens into a massive chamber with 5 raised platforms with some kind of 'web bridges' connecting them and a large, circular holographic display in the center of the chamber….

Behind the Jedi, Professor Clark stood at the edge of the newly cut-open doorway and fires a blast that 'pops' the damaged glob threatening Zuul and Gavin while callng out for his fellow Rebels to move quickly….

Next to the Professor, Zinn Vallimar walked out through the newly cut 'doorway' and raced up the ramp before coming up short next to the Jedi while taking in the new chamber….."That's a star-chart of some kind", he says while staring at the holographic display…."-but not from any Sector of the Galaxy I ever saw before"….

Jackson Crodowski moved to the edge of the membrane wall and stopped on the other side of the 'doorway' across from Clark and he fired a bolt from his Blaster Carbine that turned another of the 'globs' to mush on the ground, leaving just 3 still floating around and menacing Zuul….

Gavin Storm moved up to where the good Professor and the Engineer/Rebel Operative Jackson were standing and he fired a bolt from his Blaster Carbine that dropped another of the globular….creatures/organisms/whatever…..

Zuul suddenly found himself last in line and he fired a blast that tore one of the 2 remaining globs to pieces before turning and attempting to hustle to his fellow Rebels when the last glob reched out with 2 of its tentacles and wrapped them around the big Barabel's middle and yanked him back a step…...

Zuul

"Oh hell no! Get your damp tentacless off him!" Zuul yells, quite pissed at this point. He reaches down to grab one of the tentacles and tries to rip it in half with his teeth.

Vale walks up to the nearest raised platform (is there a way to get up on it?), and examines the holographic display more closely. "Zinn, you don't recognize any of this? Perhaps you can determine our current position inside this unknown sector of space?"

He walks around the room looking for control panels.

Gavin doesn't engage with the one creature on Zuul as it appears there are plenty of his friends already working to help Zuul out. So he moves up again aiming his blaster to cover the others if anything else comes to attack. "You boys got that thing under control or what?"
