Vale Starcloud, after doubling over in pain, ignites his blue lightsaber with Lucasian fanfare. The young Jedi throws his other hand out toward Cellis Mott with fingers spread wide, and he reaches out with his mind toward Mott's heavy blaster. With his thoughts he attempts to wrestle the blaster out of Mott's hand, flinging it harmlessly across the room toward his friends.

OOC: Telekinesis (Alter 3D) on Mott's blaster.

First Level of Strange alien ship/station in Otherspace

Clark reacted quickly to Mott and his companions turning on them and he spun around with his Blaster Carbine at the ready and looking for a clear shot at the pirate leader. Unfortunately, Vale was in the way, so the Professor shifted his aim and snapped off a shot at Qualendo that put a bolt straight into the crewman's chest and dropped him unmoving to the ground….

Zuul let loose a roar of rage and snapped of a shot from his Blaster Carbine as well at Mott, narrowly missing Starcloud and landing a blow on Cellis' shoulder, drawing forth a cry of pain, but leaving him still on his feet…

Cellis Mott, angry and hurt, lashed out with his Blaze Cutlass at the young Jedi, but missed and his wounded arm, shaking from the pain and damage, raised his Heavy Blaster pistol to take a shot at the Barabel who just wounded him. The bolt zipped past Zuul's head and slammed into another web-covered 'pod'; this time revealing a metallic object that fell to the ground and which Jackson recognized as a Power Coupler….one of the parts they needed to fix the hyperdrive…

Gavin Storm saw the Red Mist coming thier way and he ducked down and ran to some low cover AWAY from the incoming cloud…

Jackson Crodowski, out of the corner of his eye, saw the Power Coupler get 'freed' from the errant Blaster bolt and fall to the ground, and he loosed some poorly-aimed blaster fire at Connors while ducking, diving and rolling towards the same batch of cover at Gavin Storm…

Connors let loose a cry of anger upon seeing Zuul fire a bolt into Cellis Mott, so she fired at the Barabel and hit him square in the upper right torso, drawing a hiss of anger from the large reptillian alien*….

Vale Starcloud, his body on fire from the pain of his wound, ignited his Lightsaber, bathing the strange area they were in with blue light; and attempted to use the Force to disarm Cellis Mott by 'grabbing' his Heavy Blaster Pistol away with Telekenesis. Unfortunatley, the pain interferred with his concentration, and he was only able to move the weapon a little bit and soon he lost his 'grip' on it completely. He was lucky to stagger away from another Blaze Cutlass slash the pirate leader directed his way….

Zinn, angry and hurting from his wound, took aim at Connors and fired a bolt that drilled the poor former Rebel Crewman in the heart; she fell to the ground in a heap…

The Red Mist was moving surprisingly quickly and looked to soon engulf the group...

"Damn, a coupler," Jackson hissed. Taking a quick look around, Jackson fires a shot off at Mott before dashing over to the power coupler and scooping it up.

Gavin from his position will fire a couple shots at Cellis Mott if he can get a clear shot.

Zinn exhales heavily, letting his anger bleed out with his breath. His bad feeling is intensifying, about the same rate as the red mist is moving.

If he has a shot at any of these piratical wannabes, he'll take one, then begin moving (preferably from cover to cover) away from the mist. If he doesn't have a shot, he'll start moving tactically away from the mist.

"Vale, let's get moving!" Clark urges the Jedi.

If Vale retreats, Clark will retreat with him. If Vale stands and fights, Clark will move forward to aid him, attacking Mott.

"Agreed!" Vale retreats with Clark, holding his lightsaber in a defensive position to keep any nearby opponents away.

(Either a normal melee parry or an energy parry Force Power, depending on how we are attacked, as we retreat. If Energy Parry is used, I'm willing to spend a Force Point).

Zuul finally notices all his companions leaving the area, shrugs, then runs after them. He will avoid Mott and try to dodge any attacks.

First Level of Strange alien ship/station in Otherspace

Jackson dives quickly and comes up with the Coupler while snapping off a quick shot at Cellis Mott as Gavin, Zinn and Clark all fire shots as well and Vale backs off while keeping his ignited lightsaber between himself and the pirate. Mott takes at least two bolts to the torso and falls unmoving to the ground and before the Rebels can really take action, the Red Mist suddenly seems to rapidly increase in pace and the cloud envelops all of them….

Zuul, Professor Clark and Zinn Valimar all seem to come out of the cloud okay, though they seem a bit disoriented and they seem deep in a tunnel that ends at a massive, hollowed-out Column with some kind of shaft leading up and strange hand-holds forming a 'ladder' of sorts inside of it. Thier companions are with them, though they are acting very strange…

Vale Starcloud blinks his eyes rapidly as the Crimson Mist cloud suddenly is upon him and suddenly he sees shadows darting all around him. Dark shapes seem to swirl about in the fog, stalking the Jedi. He turns this way and that, keeping his lightsaber at the ready as strange sounds assault his ears…a spine-tingling scraping, a high-pitch screeching, a low, incessant humming. The sounds get louder and louder and Vale can feel his limbs getting weaker….his weapon feels much heavier than it ever had before and the pain from his wound seems more intense and sapping than ever. All at once, the sounds stop and the Fog clears and Vale practically collapses against the stone wall….taking some comfort in the fact that his teammates are all around him*….

Gavin Storm drops to the ground and attempts to keep his eyes and mouth shut as the cloud comes over him; thinking that staying low might be the way to go. Unfortunately, the one-time smuggler soon feels dizzy and disoriented as the Red Mist seems to literally sink into his body and without knowing why, Gavin is suddenly filled with rage and hatred. The cloud parts and he sees his Rebel friends….strangely, they are all happy, smiling and laughing….no signs of any wounds or any weapons out…..they are at peace and enjoying life to the fullest. Why? Don't they realize, as you now do, of the futility of it all? Life is pointless….the only release from the insanity of the randomness of life is the utter bliss of the Final Jump. Gavin draws his Blaster, aims it at his head, then at his friends...ready to extinguish this curse called LIFE from everyone. Then the cloud dissipates and Storm feels suddenly clumsy on his feet, his weapon seems slippery in his hand. Looking about in confusion, he sees his friends, but now they show signs of being wounded….weapons out as if they had just been in a fire-fight…..what was going on?**….

Jackson Crodowski had a brief feeling of satisfaction as his hands wrapped around the Coupler….one quarter of the parts needed to get the hyperdrive back in working order was now in his possession. Then the Red Mist came over him. For long moments, he felt lost….a man walking in Crimson colored fog….no real way of telling which way he was going….and then he saw it. Piles of strange objects through the mist. Running through the edge of the cloudy tendrils, he broke into the clear to see he was in a chamber full of some kind of large, web-covered pods scattered here and there in no particular order. The pods are large….large enough to hold 1 to 2 meter tall bodies….and then the pods begin to crack open….spilling bodies onto the ground. Jackson tries to turn away and not look, but he knows whose bodies are spilling out….those of his companions. His mind seems to be working slowly….much of what he knew just moments ago seems to be falling out of his mind like liquid spilling out of a too-full cup***….and then, with a blink, he finds himself surrounded by his friends again. None of them are in a pod….no web-covered, split-open pods are visible in the chamber at all….but his mind still seems to be moving at a sluggish pace….

"The noise! The noise!" pleads Vale helplessly from the ground. He draws himself up to a standing position, looking weary. He rattles his head, and expresses relief that the screeching and humming had stopped.

"What happend? Where are our opponents?" He looks around to see whether anyone still has a blaster pointed at them.

Zuul helps Vale to his feet.
"Are you ok? He doesn't know what happened. The red cloud came over uss, and it felt odd. The three of you seem most bothered."
Zuul looks around. "It doesn't look like Mott iss nearby. But our path continuess up. Shall we climb?"

Jackson shakes his head to clear the cobwebs then realizes that wasn't the wisest thing to do he places his hand on his forehead to contain the thumping his brain is experiencing. "Up?" he manages to say in a very distracted manner. "Wha... What happened to all the pods? Where did Mott and the others go?"

Zinn shakes his head, working to clear the disorientation and disbelief from the last several moments. "Wait!" he says, urgently. "That mist is gone...for the moment, at least; we need to take a minute to assess and regroup." He looks around at everyone. "How many medpacs do we have?" he asks. "I, for one, could use one. Anyone else need any treatment before we push on?"

He looks pointedly at Vale. "How are you holding up? From what I learned talking with Borsk over the course of our time together, some of this has GOT to be wreaking havoc on your senses..."

Gavin doesn't know what to do trying to regain his wits he holsters his weapon and rubs his eyes.

First Level/Second level of Strange alien ship/station in Otherspace

As the Rebel Agents attempt to shake off their strange encounter; they take inventory of Medpacs carried and come up with a total of 3; Clark, Gavin and Zuul are each carrying one. The Professor uses two of them to treat Vale and Zinn's injuries and both feel MUCH better* after the academic's careful ministrations....

Next the party examines the crawl-tube and they find 'hand/foot holds' that CLEARLY weren't designed for humanoids. Though it's awkward, and several times various people slip here and there; with a great deal of help; particularly in Vale's case where he almost falls NUMEROUS times; the party manages to climb up to a second floor/level of the strange ship/construct they were on....

The floor is flat and for as far as the eye could see, numerous hemispherical 'hills' seem to be rising up from the floor like miniature hills....dozens of them, all seemingly the same size. After maneuvering around a few of them, the Rebels can see that web-like 'bridges' seem to span a 'canyon' and connect with a pair of wide open areas with some kind of strange.....membrane-ish....wall on the far side of it. At the same time, they see one of the 'hills' has an opening not too far away and going over to explore it, they see that inside is some kind of....vehicle....

It CLEARLY has an area where a pair of beings sit/stand, and various organic looking 'levers' jut out here and there; but the whole construct looks far more like some kind of giant statue made out of some kind of half-plant/half-rock like substance. Zinn seems to feel that based on various protrusions here and there that it's possibly some kind of repulsorcraft or maybe even a Starfighter....which would make the wide open areas across the 'canyon' landing/flight decks and the strange membrane wall a hangar bay door...

*Zinn and Vale are no longer wounded.....though Starcloud (along with Gavin and Jackson) are still impacted by their strange reaction to the Mist cloud

"Um, guys?" Zinn pipes up, scratching his bald head and looking around. "This area looks kinda like it COULD be a hangar bay." He points at the vehicle analog. "That looks like it could be some kind of repulsorlift, or even a starfighter." He turns and points at the membranous wall. "That right there could be the bay door. Now, I have no fraggin' idea how they're operated, but we'd do well to keep this area in mind, in case we need to make a hasty exit. Also," he says, his voice going grim, "if I'm right, we might want to sabotage this area on our way out, so we (hopefully) can't be pursued. I don't relish the notion of being chased by whatever lurks in this hellhole."

As his teammates gather themselves, he pats Clark on the shoulder. "Thanks for patching us up; I needed that." Zinn then makes a closer study of the possible vehicle, looking to see if he can discern anything.

Gavin is still trying to shake the effects the mist has done to him feeling confused and disoriented the smuggler has little in the way of stable advice to give.
