Zinn hollers out. "Wait a minute, guys; we can't just go rushing blindly through this ship. Jackson, while we're VERY relieved to see you, and you might know this ship, you don't know what's going on; that much was clear in your face when we met up." He positions himself so he can look Jackson in the eyes. "Our sensors couldn't pick up a SINGLE life form on board. That includes you. Our new friend, Vale, is an old comrade of Borsk, whom you might remember is a Jedi. Vale here studied for a while with Borsk, and has been trying to get a read off this bucket. What he's gotten hasn't been good, and what we need right now is some intel. What can you tell us about the ship? Also, where's the nearest computer terminal? I wanna download the ship's schematics to my datapad so we can keep track of where we are, where we've been, and what we find along the way. Also, we can get a rundown of the ship's systems, maybe get some lights powered up." He glances at Vale, remembers the unease in the Jedi's voice as he related what he could feel through the Force. "Also, is there an armory on board? It might be a good idea to see if we can beef up our supplies before seriously searching the place."

Zuul slaps Zinn's back "Relax friend. Jackson here iss a friend too. You have a good idea about armory, and maybe find bridge? Alwayss good things on bridge."

If his new friend Vale sayss only one life onboard, then anyone here before is dead. The dead are notoriously patient.

Vale Starcloud greets Jackson as a new comrade. "We found no readings of life aboard this ship, and yours is the only presence I could sense through the Force; however, I have also been sensing the emotions of something else—some evil entity—surrounding our ships." He lightly strokes his chin, with an expression of concern on his face. "The Imperial prisoners are valuable to the Rebellion, and can be turned from evil; we should rescue them if they survive. We will also need to see if we can turn on this ship's power systems."

He turns to Zinn and Jackson. "If we powered this ship's sensors, could you use them to scan for life signs that are within the ship? I have a bad feeling about this 'presence'… I'm worried that it could have followed us onboard."

Alliance Transport Celestial; Otherspace

Jackson Crodowski moved quickly to the door leading to one of the 3 ladders that led to the lower deck of the Alliance Transport. He quickly threw it open before Zinn's questions registered....and then the new-guy's, Vale's....

Jackson thinks for a moment before speaking; "There's an arms locker at the Guard Station, on the deck below that held 6 Blaster Rifles for the Security Team onboard. We're transporting 5 prisoners; Moff Ravik; Commander Bane Nothos...the same one from the Shantipole mission; an Assassin Droid called EL-434; a pirate named Cellis Mott who commanded the N'anthri trade route pirates and a Bounty Hunter by the name of Zardra." Hearing the questions about the bridge; Crodowski nods to the end of the hall and says; "The Bridge is that way"; and then considers Vale's questions. "I have no idea about any....evil entity...you may be 'sensing'; but all of the prisoners are bad news. Ravik liked to make public executions of political dissidents or anybody associated with the Alliance that he captured; Nothos is as cold-blooded as they come; Mott doesn't think twice about killing some innocent spacers on a transport if he wants what they're carrying; EL-434 once used a grenade to kill a target in a public market place as its 'brain' calculated that was the best chance of making a kill; never mind the half-dozen other people in the area who died for no reason other than they were in the wrong place at the wrong time and Zardra likes to bring her Bounties in Dead; regardless of their crimes. As for using the sensors; sure, I can use the sensors to scan the ship if that's the plan?"....

Zuul, Clark and Gavin listen to the conversation while keeping an alert eye and ear out and all 3 can't help but notice the long, nearly transparent 'strands' that hand down at random intervals from the walls and ceiling of the ship....looking like nothing so much as strands of webbing from arachnids....

"I think our first priority should be to get our hands on those weapons before any of the prisoners do..." Clark says, "...if they're not already dead."

His attention is drawn by the strange strands however, he moves closer to investigate while awaiting the answer to Gavin's question.

Zinn frowns as Jackson runs down the list of prisoners who'd been in the transportation process, as well as their more violent proclivities. He quickly agrees that they should move quickly to secure weapons from possible confiscation by the Imperials. "We need to move quickly though; no telling what Intel these Imps might have. We have to assume they went straight for the weapons once they were released from their cells. I also think it's a very bad idea to split up; with that kind of opposition possible, they could be lying in wait to overtake individuals wandering on their own. Also, we're gonna need someone to guard while we try and get the sensors online."

Zinn's eyes focus on the webs, and his brow furrows again. "I've got a bad feeling about this..."

Gavin "As do I, this webbing cannot be a good sign at all. We may just have to get what we can salvage off this ship and get the hell back to Outrunner as soon as possible, forget the prisoners."

Vale examines the strands with Clark. He gathers up the edge of his cloak and uses that to touch the webbing experimentally. "What a strange substance. We must be cautious."

Zuul looks at the strands "Curiouss. They remind him of the webss the spiderss of Barab would weave to catch prey. Of course, those were only 2 foot in size, much smaller than these."

"Also, he knowss it iss not hiss call, but most boardingss he has been on have made the bridge a high priority. The old captain used to say 'Control the bridge, control the ship.' Of course he also said that banthass smelled good."

Zuul comes to attention, awaiting command.

Jackson comes to a dead stop hearing Gavin's question. The "secure the prisoners" mentally quickly forgotten at this new turn of events. "Webbing?" He takes a look about, registering the webbing for the first time. "What the...?"

Zinn's eyes narrow. "Jackson," he says, a note of urgency in his voice, "where's the nearest computer? We need to see if we can get some sensor readings, maybe figure out where everyone is at, or what left these," he finishes, gesturing at the strange webs.

Alliance Transport Celestial; Otherspace

Jackson's reply to Zinn boils down to the best place for answers would be the bridge; so the paryt of rebels cautiously make thier way down the long, central corridor that ends with a central door to the Bridge. Along the way, there are numerous doors to both left and right which Jackson points out as leading to a Rec Room, the Galley (kitchen), Medical Bay, Crew's Quarters, Comms Station, Captain's Office and Cabin and then finally, the Bridge. As they move down the corridor, several more strands of webbing are found hanging here and there and a few blast marks can be seen as well. Crodowski's still-throbbing head reminds him that he may have been out for longer than he first thought….

The door to the Bridge had been blasted open; never a good sign, but no sounds or sights could be seen on the dimly-lit Bridge other than a few blinking lights here and there on various monitors and at various stations. As the Rebels move onto the Bridge, they can see that there are about half-a-dozen seats for personnel and out of the massive front viewport, the strangness of Otherspace in all of its glory serves as a dramatic reminder of exactly how confused thier current situation is….

Zinn, Gavin and Jackson pretty quickly and easily get the various sensor and security holo-camera security logs on-line; and they can quickly deduce a couple of things. The first is that nothing else is registering as a life-form on the ship besides the group on the Bridge and the other is that the final entry in the security log was from a few hours ago. Playing it, the holographic footage replays the last events in vivd 3D amongst the various Alliance members and thier current stations on the bridge….

Ghostly life-sized holographic images appear on the bridge as the log entry plays back and a thin human male with a severe looking face and an expensively tailored Imperial Moff's uniform is visible near the comms station. An arrogant but capable looking younger human male in the uniform of an Imperial Navy Commander stands to one side, armed with a Blaster Rifle and a strong looking but disntictly non-Imperial looking man with several gaudy bits of jewelery and a bushy beard armed with a Blaster pistol and a vibro-blade flanks him on the other side. Crodowski quickly informs everyone that the Moff is Ravik; the Commander is Bane Nothos and the bearded man in the noted pirate leader Cellis Mott.

A dark painted, spherical Droid with a pair of arms that end in weapons quietly hovers in and out of the picture as the Moff speaks into the comms. "This is Imperial Emergency code 3 Delta Sigma. This is Moff Ravik and I have taken command of the Rebel vessel Celestial and await pickup by the Imperial Star Destroyer Relentless. I am broadcasting our coordinates now. Request IMMEDIATE response as the situation is still….fluid…"

Ravik's statement is cut off by the bridge door exploding inward due to Blaster fire. Mott, Nothos, the assassin Droid El-434 and the excited cries of a woman who remains off-camera can be heard as they pour fire at thier attackers. The camera pans around for a moment and the Alliance group seems to consist of half-a-dozen Security troopers, thier number already a couple down and a female leader wearing the insignia of a Rebel Naval Captain. Jackson speaks up saying that the woman is Captain Jemma Gryphon; commanding officer of the Celestial. A voice crackles from the comms station; "Moff Ravik, this is the Relentless. We have your signal and will be within tractor beam distance is just a few seconds. Hold your position, help is on the way." In a daring burst of motion, Captain Gryphon dives and rolls onto the bridge coming to a rest at the Helm position. She slams the hyperdrive button on; slapping the Override and therefore sending the ship lurching into hyperspace without any destination put in via the Navicomputer. A moment later Nothos wraps his arms around her and puts a Blaster to her head just as the security cameral footage fades out….

Clark says: "Well, if no one else is alive on this bucket, let's get down to salvaging the components we need to fix the Outrunner. That means a visit to the Hyperdrive engine, although my gut tells me it just might be fried like ours...".

OOC: No bodies encountered thus far....you would know (i.e. Jackson would know) that the total crew was about 15....Captain, about 4 Ship's crew, Chief Engineer and assistant (and you), Medical Officer and a team of 6 Security guards to watch the 5 prisoners.
