I really like your backstory, and how you worked in your trinket.Shaede wrote:I've completed my character sheet.
Approved.
Re: Character Sheets
Ed, if you could just provide a backstory that includes mention of Kelben's family and/or friends. If you want, there are tables in 'Xanathar's Guide to Everything' that can randomly determine this. Just let me know if you're interested in this and I'll let you know what rolls I'll need.GreyWolfVT wrote:Here is the pdf version as well for Kelben Timbers - Rock Gnome Rogue.
Also, please roll for and add a trinket.
Otherwise, he looks good.

Thanks! I'll be honest, I did some research. That did not come off the top of my head.dmw71 wrote:I really like your backstory, and how you worked in your trinket.Shaede wrote:I've completed my character sheet.

Note: You have Aubron as a Half Elf in your first post. He is a high elf.

Note, these rolls will only determine your family; you'll still need to come up with your own back story (but can obviously use your family details and trinket as part of it).

Actually, I've really been digging the content on D&D Beyond, so I also purchased Xanathar's Guide for it.dmw71 wrote:I'll let you know what rolls are needed.
Ed, for the family stuff, you can find that information here: 'Chapter 1: This Is Your Life'

Parents Roll [1d100] = 82 You know who your parents are or were.dmw71 wrote:Actually, I've really been digging the content on D&D Beyond, so I also purchased Xanathar's Guide for it.dmw71 wrote:I'll let you know what rolls are needed.
Ed, for the family stuff, you can find that information here: 'Chapter 1: This Is Your Life'
Birthplace Roll [1d100] = 84 Castle, keep, tower, or palace.
Siblings Roll [1d10] = 7 1d6 + 2
Siblings Roll [1d6 + 2] = 4+2 = 6 6 siblings.
Birth Order Roll [2d6] = 7 Older
Family Roll [1d100] = 79 Mother and father
Absent Parent Roll [1d4] = 1 Your parent died (roll on the Cause of Death supplemental table).
Parent Cause of Death Roll [1d12] = 3 Killed in battle
Family Lifestyle Roll [3d6] = 10 Modest (+0)
Childhood Home Roll [1d100] = 20 Rundown shack
Childhood Memories Roll [3d6] = 10 I had a few close friends and lived an ordinary childhood.
Folk Hero Roll [1d6] = 3 I hated my mundane life, so when it was time for someone to step up and do the right thing, I took my chance.
Class Training Roll [1d6] = 4I became a rogue because … I decided to turn my natural lucky streak into the basis of a career, though I still realize that improving my skills is essential.
Life Events by Age Roll [1d100] = 44 21–30 years (1d4)
Life Events by Age Roll [1d4] = 1 1 life event
Life Events Roll [1d100] = 29 You fell in love or got married. If you get this result more than once, you can choose to have a child instead. Work with your DM to determine the identity of your love interest.
Some of the above rolls I am not sure I had to roll like the absent parent on since it said i have both parents...

Re: Character Sheets
I think a cleric would fit in well we already have a fairly decent spread. Only thing missing at the moment would be either a full on fighterish class "Barbarian, Monk or Fighter", a Tank "Paladin" (at least that's how i think of em, some sort of magic type "Warlock, Sorcerer, or Wizard (the spell hurlers), a healer type/aid "Cleric or Druid" again mostly how i see em though I know they can do more than just field medic/healer. Personally I say go with what you feel/like/want to play party balance is not always as essential as others might say. I've been in a group of almost all one the same or similar class not too bad if your tactics are good.Mister-Kent wrote:Characters are awesome so far! I should have mine rolled up this afternoon. Also, Scott308, I know you earlier asked for feedback or suggestions on character build, but given how "everyone" in the game is relatively (or completely) unfamiliar with 5e, why don't you just go ahead and create whatever you'd like to play, or whatever you think would be the most useful to the group.

Re: Character Sheets
Character is built, I just need to come up with his background.
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

The backstory etc I had in there doesn't show on this version of the PDF, but I can fiddle with that. Here's what it said:
