Nimh

Nimh will remove the glove, then moves over to take her spot by the secret door.

Beyond the door is another small 10x20 crypt, the third in a row (the zombie room and the box room being the first two). The secret door opens into the north half of the room.

Against the northern wall, right by the secret door, there is a large stone slab with a corpse resting on it. The room is covered in spider webs and dust, suggesting the body has been here a long time unmolested. The corpse seems to be dressed in the green robes of a priest of Silvanus, the Green Man.

Nimh

Nimh will search the room, trying to be extra alert for spiders and trying to not disturb the webs at this point. She will try to get a good look at what is under the webs if possible.

A search of the room turns up no spiders, but you can see that the body on the slab appears well preserved beneath the layer of cobweb. In addition to the bright green vestments, you see that he clasps a rod or short staff on his chest.

In the process of searching the room, you observe that there is a door in the south wall of the crypt. Lhainor also notes something strange about the section of the east wall opposite the secret door you came in. This is likely another secret entrance to this room...

No problem. I was just being sarcastic. Clerics don't even get spells at 1st level in Blueholme.

I'm thinking about grabbing the rod/staff the "corpse" is holding. Most likely that will cause the corpse to animate (revealing that it's undead). Clerics might want to be ready to Turn, as it will probably smack me across the room. Also, if it is more powerful than a zombie, we probably can't hurt it (need magic weapons), so be ready to run.

Nimh gets set to back up Lhainor.

Lhainor carefully reaches over and pulls the rod from the hands of the corpse. It comes away without incident. The wooden rod is weighted near the top. Whatever else it might be good for, it would make a decent weapon...

If nothing jumps out to kill us, Theglid will examine the potential secret door to the east.

Lhainor will sheathe his sword and bear the "shillelagh" as a weapon, at least for now.

Nimh

Nimh will look over the corpse and see if anything else looks valuable or still in usable shape.

Nimh notes that the corpse's robes appear to have stood the test of time well. Though they are dusty, they seem in quite good shape, considering their age.

Theglid examines the secret door, and finds that the wall is on a simple hinge, and could be pushed open easily, if he wanted to.

Nimh

Nimh will take the Robes for now. Forest Green? Then she will move over by the secret door in case anything comes out once it is opened.

"The robes look in good shape I will take them for now."

Once everyone is ready, Theglid will push open the secret door.

Theglid pushes on the panel, opening the secret door...

Within, you find a small 10x10 shrine to Silvanus with a stone altar in the center. The sides of the altar are decorated with carvings of forest scenes, and the top is shaped like a broad leaf.

On the east wall, across from the entrance, is a large carving of the face of the Green Man.

Nimh

Nimh will examine the shrine, then say a quick blessing for the body and apologizes for taking the items but explains it is needed to battle the evil that has risen here. (She assumes it is a cleric of Silvanus.)

Lhainor

Lhainor will search the altar and shrine for secret compartments, doors, etc. Someone should guard the door at the far end of the crypt in case something wanders in.

Theglid will stand guard while the others search.
