BTW - I expect the sledgehammer will get used as a weapon whenever I need a blunt one (like against skeletons).

Sounds good. Nominally, it's a construction tool, not a martial weapon, soooo... how about it behaves like a heavy weapon, one attack per 2 rounds, but gets best of 2d8 rather than best of 2d10 as a morningstar would get? (giving fighters d8 instead if d6 for damage roll). Still pretty lethal.

Balek can join the others in the main action thread. It's a get to know you thing, in town.
It would be great if you could add Bale to the character sheet thread, as well. Preferably as a "sheet" but just a text version is fine. Just clearly identify where each item is stored, so we can figure out his encumbrance.

Being new to Blueholme, I'm slowly figuring things out...
I realized that I did Wick and Lhainor's hp wrong... they get d6's for their fighter hp, rather that d8's. This is because halflings and elves get lower hd dice (d6 instead of d8) than humans. Dwarves get d8, though.
I rerolled, and nothing changed, just wanted to give you a heads up...

Huh? No, it's the average of those two rolls. The average of 3 and 6 is, I guess 4.5, which rounds up to 5, so no change.
