The Crusaders pursuit lance with goods in tow bound across the landscape. Even slowed by having to carry the large trucks they move faster than any other land vehicle could.

Ahead the young warriors see the mountain range fast approaching, they know that is where their company mates had scouted out a position that would help provide cover and store the heat sinks until they could be retrieved.

There was some chatter among the lance about how the Major would be happy they had also managed to liberate the semi's and flat beds to go along with the heat sinks and maybe they will get a bonus, a few hundred c-bills maybe would make for a great night out.

When suddenly less than 20 minutes form their destination your screens light up with movement, and your comms come to life.

Your battlefield cameras show 4 mechs bounding towards you, 2 Stingers and 2 Wasps. Painted in a camp pattern and on the mechs chests a symbol of a hand holding a lit candle.

Gene activates his comm in reply. "That's chivalrous of you, Lieutenant- but I'm afraid I'll have to decline. As for your charge of piracy, we have a legal mercenary contract registered with the MRB. If you find our conduct unbecoming, feel free to log a complaint with the review board. In the meantime, prepare to defend yourself."

Switching to inter-lance comms, Gene says, "You gotta give it to these guys; they just don't give up, do they? Drop the cargo and prepare to engage. Concentrate firepower on the same target, as much as possible. I want to mop these guys up and get underway as soon as possible. We're already behind schedule, thanks to those last four jokers. And remind me to ask the Major to give those guys in intel a good, stiff ass chewing. They really dropped the ball on this one."

Zeke hops on the radio, speaking quickly as if he’s afraid of getting an ass chewing himself for what he was about to say. Sir, I was planning on bringing this up later and right now might not be the best time, but I’d suggest we splint into two man teams, have the team leader pick a target and maybe we don’t end up so spread out we have trouble supporting each other this time.

"Agreed," Gene replies. "Shadow and Spectre, form up. Sergeant- you're with me. We'll target the Stinger (E1) at coordinates 0109, unless a better target presents itself. Try to maintain close formation so we can combine our fire. Like Shadow says, we don't want to get strung out."

Gene lowers the flat-bed to the ground and then jumps to the woods in hex 0907, facing hex 0806

since no fire can happen this round because of no long distance weapons I went ahead and moved all units. Just waiitng fo Ivan and Shadow to move.

If we time it right, we can rush the center when Dagger and Crazy Ivan engage those Stingers and maybe have a few moments of four on two to swing this our way. I'm going to swing far left since I'm faster, so you follow but keep yourself further toward the center, maybe in those trees near the lake, but facing the Wasps so they think we are focused on them until we bolt.

Since we can't reach this turn anyway, Shadow could safely jump to 0913 facing 0812 to move things along. However, we have been moving along pretty quickly if we just want to wait.

Spear normally jumps on sometime in the afternoon so we can wait. If he hasn't responded by this evening we will move him since there is no possible fire this round.

The Crusaders move in towards their targets, fire erupting as their mechs soar through the air. The new mechwarriors determined to learn form their previous battle make plans of attack to use the tactics just less than an hour ago used against them.

Fixed facing

With tie init need your lance commander to make a tactics roll.
