Sorry my posting has been so erratic. Things should get better moving forward. Today is day 27 of 33 straight days at work so I’m dragging a bit.

No, my assistant has been out on medical leave. Considering he got off with a bit of facial paralysis rather than a full blown stoke (and he's only in his mid twenties) I'm perfectly happy to work while he recovers. It just cuts way into my gaming time.

By the way is anyone here familiar with Mekwars? And if so can you tell me if it's worth messing with? I really miss tabletop play but online seems like it's as close as I'm going to get.

Yes it does, technically windows 7 + has had that function. But that might just be the pro version... google search to the rescue! ;)

I am not familiar with the current version of MegaMek, but I used to play with it a LOT. Having something to do all the math for you is very nice, and there used to be some good servers. The main server is 3025, which is absolutely my favorite tech level. However, over time there have been others.

There is something nice about being able to get a game in any time you want.

Feel free to PM me if you have specific questions about MegaMek.

I apologize for the delay, but I've got a long work event I've got to get to. I won't have digital access until after 10 pm this evening. I'll get a move in ASAP.

I’m pretty computer illiterate. I managed to tell it to extract the download but have no idea how to launch the program or even where it extracted to.

It normally extracts to the same folder the zip was in check the downloads folder. There should be a zip and a folder with the same name now go into the folder with the same name as the zip file and the program should be in there. To launch it all you would do is double click the program.

unless you tweak folder settings usually doesn't show you that it is a .exe or any file extension.
