I concur. Side note: Did we ever open the box?

The box is not (yet) open.

Do you want to go back to town to do business, or do you mostly just want to pursue another lead? We can skip ahead, or we can take our time...

We should decide after we see if anything (and what it is) is in the box.

Is the box locked? If it is not them Jaskar will open it. If it is locked he will smash it.

I'm fine with Willow selling any additional loot as well.

Maybe we could hire someone to pick the lock?

So, it *is* locked... do you want Jaskar to smash it, or try to hire a locksmith/thief?

If you want to go the thief route, it will probably take a couple of days, and somebody would need to be responsible for interviewing/hiring him. Alternatively, if someone has a potentially relevant contact they would like to ask for help with this, you might start there. (Not saying you do, just throwing that out there)

Hazrahi would probably be uninterested in hiring a thief. If we can't get a reputable locksmith to help, might as well smash it.

On the question of what to do next, this looks interesting to me
There is an old ruin outside of Kuntan that my order has been thinking of investigating. There is an old black stone building with an iron gate that leads to a cavern. Adventurers have apparently been investigating it for some time. Most to have returned tell of finding nothing of interest but some have wounds that will not heal, some are mute and others have been mad.
Also in favor of selling all miscellaneous loot but keeping the healing potion as our only emergency healing for now.

Why rush to sell the potion? We can always sell it later. It's lighter than 500 gp also...

My vote is to keep the potion until we get someone capable of casting Cure Light Wounds.

As for our next mission, I am still in favor of taking out the death cult.
sulldawga wrote:Hazrahi nods grimly at his friend Jaskar.

Still, if I might recruit you all to a mission which is perhaps more dear to my heart than yours... it is said the Bedi in the ruins of Tyr worship Death itself, and wear blasphemous skull masks. Who knows what sick rituals they practice? I don't mean to disrespect the Bedi but this must not stand. We should do something about it. The bandits can wait.

Alright, so that's 3 in favor of keeping the potion but selling the rest. Sorry, Lamech, but you're outvoted.

We also have one suggestion to check out the spot just outside of town, and one suggestion to head up to the Bedi village.

The Bedi characters know of this village, and know that this is a fairly good size village on a ruined city. The ruin is plagued by some disturbing magic left over from the fall of the city, but sometimes someone uncovers something valuable. The villagers use some of the ruins as hives for giant bees, and the honey is intoxicating. It would be difficult to kill the whole village, without a larger force. It is true that the residents there have a special reverence for (ok, even worship) death, but it doesn't seem as dark as a "death cult" to the Bedi.

The nearby ruins of an ancient village may be all played out. Most who have gone don't find anything. Some have come back mad or maimed or poisoned. You don't know anyone, but there are rumors that people have found big treasures there, or powerful magic. It's all a little vague.
