Re: Ch. 2: Highway to Hell?
Odilo uses another charge from his staff and activates a light spell in the room with the crashing boats and skeletons as he backs away towards the door way trying to center the light near where he last could see the boats.

Re: Ch. 2: Highway to Hell?
Odilo casts light from his staff. A dozen skeletons amid the shards of what used to be a rowboat rise to their metatarsals, their pyramid having collapsed just a moment before. The other pyramid remains intact, holding its boat high above you. Well, high above most of you; it's just a few feet above Risdac.
The skeletons swarm you, bony claws reaching for throats and tearing at your faces. Your strong protections keep them all at bay—all but one, which pulls at Xale's beard (-5 HP).

Somehow still a bit surprised, Tanner manages to miss with his first swing.
att[1d20+3] = 7+3 = 10
att[1d20+3] = 20+3 = 23
sword[1d8+3] = 3+3 = 6
The second is a solid hit with the flat of the blade.

Rool Diov
Upon hearing the calamity, Rool rushes back to the skeleton room. Realizing that his edged weapons will have minimal effect on the undead bones, he provides security at the entrance while his comrades battle the animations.

How does Odilo target the missiles? All on one skeleton? One missile per skeleton? Two per skeleton? Something else?GreyWolfVT wrote:Odilo points a finger at a skeleton and utters the magic words for Magic Missile

Re: Ch. 2: Highway to Hell?
The de-pyramided skeletons continue attacking—all futilely, except for one that manages to sink its phalanges into Xale's face (-12 HP).
You counterattack against these, the least minions of the undead. Khogeki the sensei unleashes a flurry of punches, too fast for the eye to follow, that send skeleton bones skidding across the room. Tanner and Hallagad smash two more skeletons each.
Malibran raises his holy symbol to the four remaining skeletons. "My might lawful lord Pholtus!" he cries. "May your heavenly forgiveness pierce the veil of this foul land and give these soulless creatures rest at last!" The four remaining attacking skeletons explode in clouds of bone dust. So do three of the skeletons at the base of the still-standing pyramid behind them. The pyramid, deprived of its foundation, comes crashing down. The rowboat smashes against the stone floor, ruined.
As nine skeletons rise to attack, Odilo (dice roll) sends magical bolts of energy from his fingers, blasting four of them into oblivion.
Five skeletons (and zero boats) remain in this room.

Malibran sets to work on the closest remaining skeleton - his holy mace delivering justice to the accursed:
