Malibran is equally pleased and concerned of this new revelation. "Thank the Light for a possible clue on a path forward. It is the source of that clue is vexing. Emerikol is not a name to take lightly. Caution and consideration is my counsel here..."

Rool Diov, Guild Boss

Rool furls his eyebrows upon hearing the name on the scroll. “I have heard Emirikol’s name pass through the lips of several people during my many adventures,” he says. “I’m more than apprehensive about the nature of the toll he will require for offering his assistance.”

Odilo nods "I cannot disagree Rool, and anyone calling themselves the chaotic we'll have to be very careful with."

Xale Mav; Dwarven Warrior-Priest of Dalt

Xale nods to his companions and says; "Well....let's not drag this out then. Does anyone have any idea where Emirikol might reside?"

In the interest of not dragging this out:

By asking other sages, you learn that the great sorcerer's battle in which Emirikol disappeared some 30 years ago took place at a narrow spit of land called Point Harrow. The magical power unleashed in the battle left behind a continuous storm of strange magical destruction. The resulting magical conflagration, which continues to this day, was assumed to have destroyed both wizards and Point Harrow itself.

Point Harrow—or the conflagration that replaced it—is about three days away from Estborg.

The Unseen Servant:

The passive sensei nodded intently at the scroll. The answer arrived of its own volition, regardless of their pointless efforts and anxiety.

"Muddy water is best cleared by leaving it alone," he thought.

Then he looked at the wizards and spoke. "Our path is clear. Can you shorten it?"

Rool Diov:

Rool nods upon hearing Khogeki’s inquiry to the wizards. “Are you suggesting a magical mode of travel to the Point Harrow locale?” Rool asks, addressing the monk. “I’ve never been comfortable of having my essence transported by such means. But, if we are to save Vorkath, such methods of transit will be necessary.”

“Odilo, Risdac,” the Guild Master inquires. “What can you offer?”

Knowing that Vorkath's soul and the souls of countless others are stuck in Hell, you discuss ways to trim the three day travel time to Point Harrow. The Unseen monk asks about magical means of transport. When Odilo and Risdac answer that they have nothing to offer, Tanner suggests just getting on your horses and riding like hell.

You are preparing to set out, checking your mounts and tightening their packs, when a young man runs up to you, panting. He wears the tabard of the Magistrate's guard: a coat of black with the blocky symbol of a yellow dragon. Or maybe it's a duck.

He clears his throat to get your attention. "Ahem. Your lordships. Lord Alethan, Magistrate of Estborg, sends his regards and regrets that he cannot attend to you personally. He wishes me to tell you that you shall have the full support of Estborg in your quest to retrieve the Temple and those taken with it." The messenger reaches into a pack and removes two scrolls and a black wooden key the size of a small club. "A few additional spells the Magistrate had stocked away," he says, handing the scrolls Malibran and Xale. He puts the key on the ground. "Peregrus ex machinum," he says. The key raises off the ground and hovers before you, humming.

The messenger shuffles his feet slightly and looks away from you. "It's called the...um...Passkey," he says, a little embarrassed. "Say the command word, and anyone holding the key will be transported to where they need to be. In your case, Point Harrow. Well, near it, anyway. The Passkey won't go with you; it'll stay here. The command word is"—he silently mouths the word "Geronimo." "Say it when you're ready and off you go."

He stands back and looks at you expectantly. Brother Maercal bows. The Passkey hums.
Each scroll contains the following spells: CLWx2, Neutralize Poison, CSWx2, Cure Critical Wounds, Heal, Raise Dead.

Risdac Egargi

I was pleased we would not need to deal with Elminster, but at least I have met him and know what to expect. I am leery of meeting Emerikol, but we have no other choice. I'm glad we have this key- saves me from having to teleport myself, so that is a positive, at least.
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. Odilo "I so wanted to deal with Elminster though it is a shame his mind is addled after his trip to hell and back. The chaotic I've never dealt with and am resistant of but it appears we must deal with him. This passkey will be of good use I suspect."

The Unseen Servant, master of spring:

The humble sensei bows and softly says, "I am ready."
He gently holds the pass key. "I need to go to Point Harrow. Geronimo."

Malibran studies the strange device curiously from where he stands. Knowing not what they will likely encounter at the other end of this, he quietly prays for a few minutes to the mighty Pholtus to spare a thought for his safety in this noble quest...

Pray for Protection from Evil upon Malibran

A shimmering glow of a warm blue light passes over Malibran and steals himself for what's to come, "I'm ready to continue....Let's see this through!"

Xale Max; Dwarven Warrior-Priest of Dalt

Xale accepts the scroll from the messenger and nods in thanks as he says; "Please tell Lord Alethan that I am most grateful for this assistance." Nodding to his companions, he checks all his gear, says a quick silent prayer to Dalt and says; "I'm ready whenever you all are".

Rool Diov, Master Thief

Rool watches as both Khogeki and Tanner take hold of the key, say the command word, and vanish to, presumably, Point Harrow.

The Guild Boss reluctantly takes hold of the black, wooden key, mounts his horse, closes his eyes and slowly says, “Point Harrow...Geronimo.”

Odilo shrugs seeing nobody else wishes to converse any more walking over and placing a hand on the key "Well as they say when not at home. Do as the others do. Point Harrow...Geronimo."
