Jimmy makes sure to clearly think over the responses he has received, for pickup by SCAMP. He adds the thought, "If the ACP don't have the manpower to tackle a group this large, maybe we can come up with enough Supers contacts willing to tackle this mob."

He continues to focus on anything the leader or his right hand man are saying to see if he can glean any information that would be useful for stopping further criminal activities.

An update will be coming soon. Certain things are progressing in the background and things are about to come to a head, an intense moment that has the potential to change how the game plays out from here.

To give you a taste....

Scamp interrupts your mental conversation with an alert. He's been monitoring the local area for hostile thoughts and potential red flags and something just came up on the radar. An outside group of supers just stumbled across this warehouse, and their thoughts are suggesting they know that Hot Streak and his men must be inside. One of the supers also has knowledge that an inside agent working for the Atlas Police Department is currently inside. They are preparing to storm the place.
Even a child that receives one bit of praise has the ability to excel in a single talent, and those who receive regular encouragement can feel confidence, achieve success, and become leading members of society. Because they don’t believe they are worthless, they don’t need to raise a fist and have vengeance against fate or the world at large… ~Inspector Lunge

With his danger sense & combat reflexes lucky is primed for action and if needed he will put a round in 1 or 2 of the main bad guys legs so they will be easy to apprehend.

The heated discussion between the two main villains in the warehouse room, Vorpal and Hot Streak, continues to escalate. The names Raven and Rook are mentioned. You've heard about a Raven character from your recent arrival archives. A hero that helped destabilize the Rook Industries Power Plant incident and helped prevent the equivalent of a nuclear meltdown. The fact that Rook was mentioned means that Rook Industries may be involved in all of this, somehow.

Gurps Skill Roll [3d6] = 15 Lucky's lip reading skill is able to pick up on the keywords that were spoken, and with that was able to have Scamp transmit the information to Jimmy almost instantly.

Vorpal is interrupted by a radio beep. He listens in and learns that some of their guards outside have not reported in yet. The hairs standing on the back of Lucky's neck confirms the approaching danger. He is not caught off guard as a giant human figure of stone bashes through the front warehouse doors and scatters some of the criminals within the room.

All eyes are now on the group of... yes, supers. Four superheroes just barged into the warehouse. From the looks of their outfits, they appear to be members of a supergroup named Pillars of Earth, an elemental themed group of supers with earth-based abilities. They seem to be making their way to Vorpal. Hot Streak is nowhere in sight as if he just vanished.

"WHAT THE HELL!?" shouts Vorpal at the top of his lungs, clearly not expecting so many intruders. "Everyone! Kill them!" The sound of a gunfire starts to erupt. Vorpal's men open fire on the hero. One of the larger heroes made of some sort of stone, granite you think, blocks the majority of the bullets with a raised wall of stone coming from the ground.

Lucky will find cover and shoot the weapons of anyone who is an extreme threat in order of dangerousness OOC lucky is looking to protect the supers by eliminating the threats that may harm them..

Jimmy starts moving among the mob, "Come on you numbskulls, don't you know how to aim?" As he approaches each of the mob members, he reaches out to 'tell' them where to shoot, taking their guns, and accidentally throwing them away from the crowd. Apologizing to each and telling them, "Oh well, jump in there and gang up on those supers." He continues the charade for as long as possible, acting as an ally to the mob while he works to disarm them, all while staying away from the supers so he is not mistaken for one of the mob. If/when he catches the eye of one of the supers, he'll wink at them before turning to further disrupt the mob.

Jimmy continues in this way as he slowly makes his way towards Vorpal. When he gets close to Vorpal, he'll draw his pistol and state, "Come on boss, we can take em!". From that point on, he'll 'look for the proper opportunity to catch Vorpal by surprise, hopefully while he is fully distracted.

Combat Rolls:
Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 5 Granite successfully dodged.
Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 12 Granite's attack is successful but misses due to Hot Streak's dodge.
Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 7 Sand Stream summons a cloud of sand successfully.
Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 6 Shrike snipes Vorpal
Gurps Skill Roll [3d6] = 13 Vorpal fails to dodge the attack from Shrike
[3d6] = 7 Damage from Shrike's attack
Gurps Skill Roll [3d6] = 12 Hot Streak fails to dodge another attack aimed at him.
Gurps Skill Roll [3d6] = 10 Lucky hits Hot Streak with a Glock.
Glock Pistol [2d6+1] = 9+1 = 10 Glock pistol damage, first shot
Glock Pistol [2d6+1] = 9+1 = 10 Glock pistol damage, second shot
Glock Pistol [2d6+1] = 11+1 = 12 Glock pistol damage, final shot
The warehouse raid becomes very chaotic, very quickly. The supers that barged into the place instantly set off into motion and pick their targets, catching most of the armed men off guard. The heroes going by the names of Granite and Geodan lumber into the crowd and toss punches packed with heavy earth and stone. Seeing the debilitation of the armed mob as a crucial point to help end the battle, Sand Stream, another super, and Granite break off from the group to help perform crowd control.

Granite is interrupted by the sudden sneak attack from Hot Streak and fails to summon stalagmites from the ground. He instead is forced to dodge and throw a counterpunch at Hot Streak. Both Hot Streak and Granite miss each other in the heat of the moment. A blast of fire can be seen erupting from behind the heroes, no doubt the after effect of Hot Streak's attack. After the exchange, 3 bullets whiz by the group of supers and strikes Hot Streak in the side, Lucky having found the perfect opportunity to strike. Having failed to dodge the volley, Hot Streak takes a combined total of 32 points of damage and staggers back in pain, shocked that he let his guard down so easily.

Word of caution, guns are dangerous in Gurps... one of the supers knows this well and does something about it.

Sand Stream is successful in summoning a cloud of sand into the air, clogging the mob's guns up and making them malfunction. Jimmy takes notice of the situation and encourages them to drop their guns and overwhelm them with melee weapons. "Come on you numbskulls, don't you know how to aim?" he shouts, frustrated by their initial efforts to hit any of the supers. "Oh well, jump in there and gang up on those supers." he then adds on after seeing what is going on. With his silver tongue and skillful ninja disarms, the mob forms in Jimmy's hands like putty.

Jimmy then rushes to Vorpal's side to provide back up as he sees him take a shot to the torso. One of the supers just sniped Vorpal, but delt only minor damage (7 points). "Watch my back!" shouts Vorpal to Jimmy, "I'm going to dive in."

Of all of the supers that started to wreak havoc on Vorpal's men, only one stopped and turned to look back at Hot Streak, Geodan.

Jimmy replies to Vorpal, "You got it boss.", as he looks around to imitate scanning for 'potential' threats. Jimmy will keep close to Vorpal as he makes his way to engage, and will jump in and try to get a unexpected kick on Vorpal while he's distracted.

Combat Rolls
Gurps Skill Roll [3d6] = 13 Hot Streak Stealth Roll (Superspeed), succeeded by 1
Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 8 Enemy perception check, succeeded by 7
Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 9 Granite failed to dodge by 2
Gurps Skill Roll [3d6] = 10 Vorpal's to hit roll
Vorpal Sword Arm Strike [8d6-1] = 25-1 = 24 Vorpal's sword arm damage
Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 10 Granite fails dodge roll by 3
Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 5 Shrike successfully snipes
[3d6] = 7 Shrike's sniping damage
Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 9 Sand Stream successfully pulls together a miniature sandstorm
Gurps Skill Roll [3d6] = 6 Lucky's perception roll succeeds by a lot
I pulled the combat rolls from the villain side. So anything that says enemy gurps skill roll is actually a hero's.

The terrorist Hot Streak successfully gets away from the group of heroes and puts some distance between himself and Granite. Lucky, having kept an eye on him, is able to detect the blur trail of the terrorist's superspeed. Hot Streak can be seen stopping near Vorpal and Jimmy. He then turns around and fires a flaming attack that almost looks like a snipe of some sort. It hits Granite, one of the heroes made of stone, and sends him staggering backward, set ablaze if you can believe it. For a moment you question whether it's possible to set rocks on fire, but then again, you live in world of supers. Almost anything can happen. The hero, suffice to say, did not see this coming.

"Watch my back!" shouts Vorpal to Jimmy, "I'm going to dive in."

"You got it, boss."

Vorpal rushes in to deal with the heroes head on. Jimmy follows shortly behind him carrying a random item for swinging, playing the part of support. Vorpal's sights are set on Granite, and with a leaping arm slice maneuver, he brings the weight of his strength down upon the burning hero, dealing, even more, damage and sending the hero thundering to the ground.

Out of desperation of seeing an ally fall so quickly in battle, Sand Stream summons a sand cloud nearby to debilitate the mob of men further and buy her group some time to recover. She shouts for Shrike and Geodan to help get Granite back up and to relocate. The mob is caught in the throes of a sandstorm, unable to continue on without coughing on the sand and rubbing stinging grains of it from their eyes. From the cloak of the sandstorm, Vorpal does not see who strikes him from behind, nor can he see clearly the events going on near the front warehouse entrance.

Jimmy takes advantage of the confusion and kicks Vorpal from behind, aiming at the back of one of his knee joints for maximum effect. Shrike, the hero sniper who came with the supergroup, notices Jimmy's movements and catches on to what is going on, he supports Jimmy's effort by pinning Vorpal to the ground. When Vorpal tries to get back up, Shrike shoots from afar, hitting him always square in the chest. The force of impact alone keeps Vorpal down. ".....! WHAT THE F--K IS GOING ON?! DAMN THEM ALL!" He shouts out loud out of rage.

Lucky is running off of equal parts adrenaline and battle experience as he makes his way through the mob to reach Jimmy. He saw a couple of things that alarmed him. The situation was changing. Hot Streak has taken notice of Jimmy's actions, and Vorpal just made a hand gesture. It was a clenched fist that opened repeatedly in an explosive style.

Scamp, who has been monitoring the situation as best he could from the sidelines, picks up on a dangerous thought trail. Someone in the warehouse wants to blow up the warehouse, bring everything down on the heroes and men inside. Scamp has reason to believe, based off of the consequent thoughts that come soon after, and Lucky's observations, that explosives have indeed already been planted in hidden locations.

Ruke- from a previous post (didn't notice a roll)for lucky demo skill? Can lucky figure where these explosives might be? And possibly either stop them or locate which area maybe safe to get to inside?

Yes, looking back, you did mention using your demolition skill. Sorry about forgetting to use it.

Gurps Skill Roll [3d6] = 13

Lucky was able to determine where any explosives would have been placed for maximum effect. The only problem was getting to them and disabling them while going unnoticed. What he does know is that the warehouse has a few exit plans. He can relay the information to the group mentally using SCAMP, but a successful running skill will need to be used for everyone involved.

Thanks I will in fact relay the info to SCAMP and ask he relay it to all the heroes as well as any nearby law enforcement. since I am near jimmy i will help him and myself escape to the nearest exit or safe area(an area of least debris after collapse) Also ask SCAMP to relay the exit locations to the heroes. While we escape i will take note if any villains or henchmen escape !!

Turning and running with Lucky toward the exit, Jimmy starts calling out a warning to all, "Everyone get out, this place is going to explode."

"SCAMP, tell everyone to get out. We can't let all these people die. As much as I detest them, they are still citizens of Atlas City." As the crowd thickens toward the exit, Jimmy wonders if telling everyone was the best coarse of action, but it's only a momentary thought as he understands it was the right course of action.

OOC The "dark" you have picked up on is me roleplaying luckys bloodlust in the background for flavor I am aware it's just when he "fails a roll" but i think it adds a tension to the character. But he is a hero :P (like wolverine or daredevil- not captain america)

Combat Rolls:
Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 10 Shrike failed to dodge the blazing bullet.
Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 13 Shrike fails his HT roll, he does not survive the shot.
Gurps Skill Roll [3d6] = 13 Lucky succeeded in his running roll.
Gurps Skill Roll [3d6] = 4 Lucky critically succeeded in his perception roll, spotting where the bad guys escaped to.
The signal was understood and the terrorist, Hot Streak, knew what to do, but something tragic happened before the explosions and alarms were tripped; Hot Streak had to get rid of the one thing in his way from recovering Vorpal, the persistent sniper hero of the Pillars of Earth, Shrike. With his goggles blocking any sand from getting into his eyes, Hot Streak aims and fires in one quick motion, a streak of flame shooting forth and striking his target with great force. A loud scream echoes in the warehouse as the smell of burning flesh starts to permeate the air. A feminine shriek can soon be heard shortly afterward. "SHRIKE!"

Satisfied with his work, Hot Streak shoots an evil grin and superspeeds to the alarm and activates it. Explosive charges start to go off as a siren pierces the air. Vorpal's men know what to do, "Everyone get out, this place is going to explode!" Jimmy shouts to the others, still acting the part but genuinely not wanting to see any of them die. Within seconds of this, the exits of the warehouse are now being rushed, each man trying to outrun the other as the place comes down on top of everyone. Lucky is able to follow Jimmy out with the help of SCAMP's directions and find themselves outside. Lucky recalls seeing the terrorist Hot Streak, and Vorpal his right-hand man, escape the warehouse collapse as well.

Only a couple of heroes managed to escape after everything was said and done, SCAMP relays to group, one of them dragged out during the evacuation. Geodan, one of the heroes, makes his intentions clear to the surviving members of his supergroup. "I'm going back in. We need someone to question!" One of the heroes did not make it, as well as many of Vorpal's men...

"I'll be right back.", Jimmy states to no one in particular before he leaves the other surviving heroes and Lucky. He heads directly to the car where SCAMP is, opens the door for his opposing digit lacking friend, and escorts him back to the site. "My friend here should be able to help locate any trapped survivors."

Jimmy then digs in with any others in an attempt to rescue survivors or recover as many deceased as they can.

Hot Steak is seen super speeding away, Vorpal follows on foot with great speed.
