Castinus - human thief
What was that all about? Castinus muses. He'll move along with the group.

Re: Chapter 27 - Let's go smell the flowers
The party heads out the other door, which is to the "south" (if direction in this place still has meaning).
The noise and glamour of the previous place leave quite the impression. No gas-bats follow you out, although one passes you in the hall heading back into the "cave." The smell of the previous room leaves you and you wonder at how used to it that you got.
These corridors are much like the one north. You can see where a ramp goes to a lower level and another lift shaft, this one dark. There is a door east and one west that you don't open in this preliminary exploration, but could return to now.

Castinus looks around, not sure what to do next, or where to go.
"What do you say, Grimes? The lift?"

Re: Chapter 27 - Let's go smell the flowers
The ramp appears to go to a lower level. The lift appears to be broken, at least partly. The floating or free-falling you had in the north lift does not appear to work but the handles do move. This appears to be the lowest level, but you could likely go up from here.
There is a Brown keycard door east and the west view opens to the huge garden which appears to dominate this level.

Let's keep going around. The more we know about this garden before we go wandering into it, the better.

The party continues the radius.
They come to a hallway that dead ends. There are doors throughout. The ones in the hallway have violet keycard units.

Algrim waits for those who are card carriers to try opening the doors.

Dieter will open doors as he comes to them, standing to the side in case something is waiting on the other side.
OCC: Did anyone read Annihilation? I gave it a read since there is a movie coming out next month, creepy as all heck.

Let's star with #4 unless anyone has a better idea.
OCC: Yeah, the book was good. In my mind it's more of a horror story with a lot of interesting twists. It will be interesting to see how they make a made a movie out of it, considering the way it was written. I won't say anymore. Pretty short at around 200 pages, not digging on paying around $10.00 for a Kindle novel. Remember the $3-$4 printed novel days? I should have been patient and bought a used copy off of Ebay or something. Shrug, was bored over the weekend after the kid went to bed.

Re: Chapter 27 - Let's go smell the flowers
Dieter opens the door. There is a garden back here as well.
There is a path of sorts in grass of unconnected paving stones, slightly grown over.
The most immediate thing you see is are three strange palm-like trees, which none of you have ever encountered before. These tall, slender trees are topped with five globe-like fruits of coconut size on each tree. These globes are blue, violet, and lilac in color.
You notice a partial floor-to-ceiling wall to the south which is open to the southeast. There is a closed door to the north with a brown badge opener.
