Dieter - Mage
Dieter arches an eyebrow: We are still en route, of course. Yes, this is a small security contingent I am traveling with. Has anything inhuman tried to enter this room?

Castinus - human thief
Many thanks, Nurse Ratchet, Castinus says after he is healed. He then goes quiet, his eye lifting a little in apprehension when Dieter utters the word "inhuman."

"Yes, we should be moving on now, captain," says Ulster with a big ol' grin.

Grimes - Fighter
Grimes remains invisible, waiting to see what happens.
OOC: Someone should get some of that magic healin' spray!

"It must be thanks 'ta Belenus..." Dandy mumbles. "Can ya spare a can er two o' that healin' potion?" he asks the woman.
Re: Chapter 24 - The Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, part 1
This is not a veterinary office, captain. We only service humans in their wide varieties. She then looks at Dandy, I'm sorry but this can only be administered by a registered health agent, such as myself. Feel free to return to my office any time you need something looked at.
And speaking of getting something looked at, remember the little one's appointment with the neurosurgeon. I'm sure you're expected.
With that, the party leaves the room.

Gray card door sounds good to me.
"I don't know what a neurosurgeon does, or what an appointment is, Grimes, but here's hoping you come out better for it," Castinus says with a laugh.

Algrim the dwarf shrugs "Best guess be that they deal with matters of the mind." the dwarf sort of grumbles out in reply about a neurosurgeon "All I can say fer sure is this place aint natural to our realm."

The grey card door opens with a touch of the card, revealing a hallway.
On the right are three doors, one with a red card swipe, the others with grey. On the left is a single red card swipe.
The lights here are bright but one flickers and buzzes annoyingly.

Sure.
OC: Sorry, Algrim. I assumed little guy meant Grimes, but forgot that Grimes was invisible.

Algrim "Yup lets check em before we pass em."
ooc: I'm rolling with it besides the nurse started it she's clearly delusional thinking this ship is still in flight.

Re: Chapter 24 - The Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, part 1
The grey card opens the first door on the right.
This room has rows upon rows of metal alcoves. Words in an alien tongue are above each alcove. Fit inside these alcoves are racks, as if to hold spears and swords, but they hold other strange objects instead. One of the alcoves has a door on it with an obvious lock of some sort. Around the corner at the end of the room are three metal boxes and a metal chest (which also appears to have a lock on it). The locks are odd as they have no keyhole but instead some sort of dial.
In the open racks you find these:
OOC: If your character decides to try to operate one of the things discovered, please let me know which one (the illustration number will suffice) and give me five separate d10 rolls, which will help determine if you can figure the thing out.

Dieter - Mage
Dieter takes a look at number 54.
[1d10] = 4 [1d10] = 1 [1d10] = 1 [1d10] = 6 [1d10] = 1
The wizard takes the object and decides that it looks like a bracelet, trying it on. Dieter inserts his hand through the band and applies firm pressure to the grip. The plates in the band gently close on his wrist to hold it in place.
He feels a depression in the grip near some of his fingers. Pressing down, a thin, red beam emits from the upper rod, like a strange magic missile spell. The beam burns a line in the wall. He figures out rather quickly how to direct the beam.

Grimes - Fighter
Grimes grabs one of the interesting objects and starts to look at it (he picks up one numbered 56, but he pauses in his examination as he sees what Dieter's object does. "Whoa. What the heck was that, Deets? That's some crazy magic." Grimes stares in awe at Dieters thing-a-ma-bob, and then at what he's holding, then he gently places it back where he found it.
"I say we take all this stuff. Not sure what the heck it is, but it seems important." Grimes suddenly gets a thought - "Hey, I wonder if that funny place with all the odd drawings and things has some information on what this is and how it works?"
OOC: Grimes will help gather these things, but he's very careful and leery of what could happen.

Algrim hesitant to touch anything for it is all very foreign looking. "This stuff aint of this world."

Furuk - Fighter
Furuk checks out 55.
[1d10] = 9[1d10] = 6[1d10] = 5[1d10] = 1[1d10] = 5
He slips his arm through the opening and grabs the grip.
