Yeah, this ain't Lankhmar and I'm not a good urban judge, so I've been sticking to traditional location adventures. :)

Worst disappointment ever! (spoken like Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons). I was so hoping someone would crawl into that thing. I almost volunteered to do it, just for fun.

Sorry to have disappeared for a few days. Long story short: our laptop that was once dead came back to life, partially, and I needed to get everything off it that I could. Biggest score: finding Niamh's and my honeymoon photos that I had accidentally deleted elsewhere. Man, God and the universe threw me a bone on this one.

Castinus would love the slippers of spider climbing. He'll put in his claim in the game thread.

Oh, and thanks, Merias.

This being the case a majority of what Algrim can use he already has better with him.

Example: +1 Shield (he already has a +1 shield that is +4 against missiles.)
Spear +2 (he already has one that is +3)

Really not much else there on that loot list that I'd need for Algrim other than maybe the ring of fire resistance or the healing potions

Yes, he can! But have you ever tried talking to someone actively attacking you? It's a fine way to get broken teeth. ;)

As I said, you are more than welcome to try to parley but, because I'm a nice DM, I'm giving you a hint of how I'd rule.

I think we'd all be okay with it if you sacrificed realism for an increased chance we don't get our butts kicked because we can't understand the locals. :D

I'm not sure if it would be realism that I'd be sacrificing, but point made. I'm sure the locals will learn common soon enough. :)

Castinus was trying to read what I imagine are magazines, not comprehend the audible voices.

I like how you threw in the drawings from Star Frontiers.

Pardon the interruption, but the DM's Guild has lost its mind, and is having a ridiculously good sale on OSR PDFs.

Hey lets hope this Create Water moment is one of those epic ones not one of those oh shit moments that are so famous in D&D and other RPG. Casts Create water expects niagra falls gets a mere puddle. Well that was anti-climatic
