"Ah, ye can handle this one no problem, now let's see who be hurt," Dandy says. He looks at his companions, noting Grimes is the only one unconscious, and tries to wake him. He then moves to Castinus and tends his wounds.

Algrim and Furuk beat the remaining metal beast until it moves no more.
Dandy heals Castinus and checks on those who are immobile. Grimes begins to wake from his slumber. The two who are frozen in place begin to slowly move. Over the next few minutes they gain mobility, although they feel stiff all over.
There are two "dead" metal creatures in the room.
There are unexplored exits north and south, and you can always return to the hallway to the west.

There are large boxes with dancing lights similar to the "eyes" of the metal creatures and some with what appear to be dead eyes. Similar to this:
Neither Furuk nor Dieter can figure out how the large boxes can be opened: they look nothing like chests of treasure nor wardrobes. The dancing lights are unnerving. Occasionally a whirring or clicking sound can be heard from within the boxes (but only those whose "eyes" have dancing lights -- the dead ones make no sounds). There is nothing else of interest in this room. It looks well kept and swept.
Ulster pries open the chestplate of one of the two dead metal beasts. Inside is a mass of small tubes of various colors, squares of metal and other materials the druid can't identify, all of which have a few tubes attached to themselves, and various rods with gemlike bearings at their connectors.
The door to the north has a device similar to that you used to open the locked doors before, but the coloring is orange instead of black. The door south, similarly, has one but the square panel is red.
