Part 12 - Temple Return (Again)

#1 Post by greyarea »

The morning comes all too soon. The tower is quite chilly and the three porters stoke the fire. They make a nice breakfast and get their torches ready for the day's activities.

Thurwin - Wizard

Thurwin gets up early and gathers his gear, spending a couple minutes chatting with the new porters and getting them ready. Thurwin gives Sean a pat on the back and says "Let's get back to it, eh?"

Thurwin will spend some time prior to our departure atop the tower watching out just in case anyone is on the move out there. Assuming he sees nothing, he'll be ready to go when the rest of the gang is.

OOC: Where to? Should we cautiously make our way back to the scene of the big battle to see if anyone has come back to that area? I'm open to suggestions...

YES - MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Calmert: Cleric
The Gnome joins Thurwin atop the tower to keep watch.

When the group is together and deciding their next move he says to no one in particular, "I think Thurwin's idea is a good one. If anyplace around here would attract attention, I think it would be there.

I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday! :D

Which one? Where the bugbears tagged y'all good or where you beat up a bunch of priests?

Happy Xmas!

"I wonder if we should do some scouting," wonders Odo aloud. His voice is uncertain, mostly because he has a good idea who would be doing the scouting.

"I am of no mind as to where to go, but give me a few minutes to see if anyone has been here recently," Zef says.

He will scour the area for tracks or other indications of recent foot traffic.

Zef finds evidence of giant rats who have investigated the tower recently (within the past few day's he'd say), having come from and retreated to northwest.

Other than that, it appears that this area is unmolested. Eerily so, thinks the ranger, there should be some regular animal tracks here but he sees no evidence of any.

Thurwin - Wizard

As the band sets out, Thurwin dryly says "We could go back to the place where those bugbears put a lick on us, or we could go back to our last location and set out from there. Or we could go someplace altogether different."

OOC: Thurwin prefers taking the fight to the bugbears, but he's fine with any destination.

Calmert: Cleric

Calmert recalls his encounter with the evil wizard, and his chest wrenches, his anger stirs. "Evil Magic" the two things that boil his blood.

"I agree. I would very much like to revisit the 'wizard' but - this time - I will control my urge better - St. Cuthbert be praised and willing.

OOC: I'd forgotten about that turd. We could go seek him out and try to axe him something. Either way I'm fine.

Nodding, Calmert hefts his shield and readies his mace.
