Part 10 - The Temple Again
Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
Thurwin - Wizard
Thurwin motions toward the Temple and says with a sigh "Well, friends... where to? Perhaps we should give the bugbear area a break for a couple of days, I'm sure they won't be too happy to see us again. There are some areas we haven't investigated."
OOC: Any suggestions where to go next? Going back and looking at some maps, we'd been poking around the area on the map numbered 230, just before the garbage pile. I'm open to suggestions, or we could do another hit and run on the bugbears. I'm game for whatever. And of course, there's that nasty troll too. He might be a touch too much. But now I've got web so whatever we run into I can possibly immobilize it briefly.
Also - Im updating my spell list to:
1st: Magic Missile, Sleep, Burning Hands
2nd: Web

Calthas ponders for a while then says: "I vote for the troll. I don't like this beast to walk around freely: he might come back to haunt us at the worst possible time."

"We will need to somehow separate him from his ring, as we think it offers him immunity to fire," Effric says.kwll wrote:Calthas ponders for a while then says: "I vote for the troll. I don't like this beast to walk around freely: he might come back to haunt us at the worst possible time."

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
Without a solid plan, the adventurers return to the temple descending again to the second underground level. The troll does not appear to be um trolling the 202 area anymore.

"How about we explore this area, here?" Effric says, pointing just to the south of the great hall.
ooc: between 227 to the north and 201 to the south.

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
Bror shrugs not caring where they go so long as it is not the same place that was searched before "Good enough fer me."

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
How might you get to that area?
The passage north from where you came down (201) is barred by a huge sheet of bronze, the surface of which is covered with bas relief faces of evil leering creatures. This portal is too massive to even attempt to raise by brute strength.
Will you return to the great room and head south from there (227)? If so by which passage?

We're in 202, right? Have we been down the hall to the south?

Oops, sorry - I thought I'd replied.
Thurwin agrees with the others. "Sounds like a fine place to start."

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
The party returns to room 222, which Thurwin remembers is where he tried his El Guapo stunt.
The door is opened and, luckily, the room is now unoccupied. No telling where the baddies went. This is a typical guard room. The smell of bugbear is strong.

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
"Have you lads opened either of the other two doors?" asks Odo. If not, he will check both for traps.
