Pulpatoon, when Coat of Nine-Hides cries out in the feline language, is she calling a cat of some sort to come to her? Or is she just having fun?

She's yelling for the benefit of the rats.

Sorry I didn't announce this. This was how we did it last time I played play-by-post which was a few years ago. We also didn't have a dice roller.

Do you guys prefer to roll the dice yourselves using the dice roller?

Personally, I prefer rolling myself. This way when it goes poorly I can only blame my rolls (even though it is a computer generated random number.)

I'm used to rolling for myself, but I have to say, the GM rolling is an awful lot zippier. Given the already glacial pace of PbP, that seems like a good thing. Just from this one round, I'm considering asking my players if they wouldn't mind if I started proactively rolling for them.

As I said, I prefer to roll them myself; however, Pulpatoon makes a very good argument.

It took me off guard but I like the faster pace of the DM rolling as well. I'll go with the consensus on this though.

I'm fine with whatever, but the efficiency of DM-rolls is nice. Probably gonna feel different when the first casualty hits us :-)

I will continue making the rolls for now. But if someone feels strongly that they want it to be done differently please let me know. PM me if you would like. I definitely do not want to lose a player because of this.

So death is now off the table?, he naively asks with hope-widened eyes.

Tun attack 11 [1d20] = 18
Pole Arm damage [1d10+1] = 3+1 = 4
Huxley attack 11 [1d20] = 17
Mace damage [1d6+1] = 2+1 = 3

I was using the dice-roller last night to finish combat. Tun, Huxley, and Carouge all missed. It came down to Evariste and Dumphey to deliver the killing blows. But then my computer crashed before I could get anything posted! *facepalm* So I had to re-roll tonight and above are the results. Nothing wrong with tonights roll, but last night was just much more intersting because everyone had a go.

I was so pissed!

I was going to have the Kobold yell "Murder Hobos!" but decided to go with intruders instead :P

He nibbles on the rations Boo gave him and grimaces.
I don't think Kobolds would like human food all that much. He'd probably rather eat a Gnome :P

Just wanting to check in with people. Is this game something people want to continue with at this time or put on hiatus?

I'd be eager to continue. I really like the characters, and would love to see what they can do. But I can be patient, too, and wait out a hiatus if that makes things easier for others.
