Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Korin works at freeing Norbold from the webbing and hands his torch to Thorelf "Burn their webs." the dwarf says in a low almost growling tone to Thorelf.

Phoenix will fire his two daggers at one scuttling up the walls that was blinded by the colour spray.
”Don’t waste the spell. It could wear off at any time. Attack them whilst we have we advantage, they are blinded currently!”
i think you get two shots with a bow Dram per round

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Thorelf drops his dagger and grabs the second torch offered by Korin. With one of the torches he tries to set fire to a cluster of web that he thinks might connect to the place where the spiders are currently residing.
Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Korin gets busy with freeing Norbold from the spider webs he's enmeshed in. But it's sinewy stuff, and takes some time to untangle...
OX pulls his bow and fires twice at the nearest spider to Norbold, which isn't any one of them really, as all of them had already scuttled up the wall. This makes them more difficult to hit, so his arrows just get stuck in the grotesquely thick web covering the south wall.
Phoenix follows suit and hurls his two daggers at the same critter: [1d20-2] = 5-2 = 3 : [1d4] = 2 : [1d20-2] = 2-2 = 0 : [1d4] = 1 but also misses; his daggers just bounce off and fall down, one of them hitting Thorelf on the head. Ouch!
This doesn't stop Thorelf from torching the web on the south wall, however. He does so, and the whole wall is instantly set ablaze. The room is quickly filled with yellow-grey creamy smoke, causing everyone present to start coughing and spluttering: all roll a saving throw, please!

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
guess it doesn't matter which save this it's a fail at any rate.
Requested Roll [1d20] = 8
Korin coughs and sputters from the nasty smoke and tries to guide Norbold out of the passage and back outside away from the smoke and fire so he can finish freeing the elf from the webbing.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
OK thanks all - now all that remains is Dram's/Ox' saving roll.
In the meantime fyi: Norbold was not yet 100% freed from the webs when the above happened.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
The sickly smoke filled the room faster than anyone had expected, and took all by surprise. Korin had to stop cutting Norbold loose and quickly settle for dragging the semi-unwrapped bundle out of the room instead. Thorelf, well trained in evacuation drills, ducked down and snuck out too.
However, the web burned fairly quickly and the smoke soon thins out, leaving everyone with no worse effects than stinging eyes and sore throats.
The south wall, and the door in it, are now cleared free of webs.
If Norbold wants to do anything, Korin has to finish cutting him loose, which will take another round.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Phoenix stumbles from the tunnel coughing. Once he has his breath back he plops himself down upon the floor with a sigh, in amongst his multi-coloured robes.
Well we are making a right pigs ear of this, and our resources and strength is being whittled down without any progress forward at all. What now?

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Thorelf tries to stay silent and peeks into the tunnel, torch in front of him to light up the tunnel, the other free (his dagger somewhere on the floor in the intersection of the corridor and the spider room).
I assume Thorelf is right outside the entrance to the mound right now. Let me know if the situation is otherwise.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Thorelf's last stated action was:
which I assume means he's 'in the tunnel' and not outside the Mound. If Thorelf did indeed exit outside, then that's fine, just please confirm it.Thorelf falls down to his knees and tries to crawl back into the tunnel where he came from.
