Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Norbold, outside, heals himself and rolls 1d8 to see how many hp, thanks
then readies his bow and arrow.
Ox lights another torch (please tick one off inventory) and places himself near Korin in the passage.
Thorelf successfully recovers all daggers from the ashes on the spider room floor while keeping his torch alight. Korin lights his own.
Thorelf, Korin + Ox = inside. Norbold outside with bow ready, Phoenix outside. How does Phoenix get his daggers back from Thorelf - does Thorelf dart back and forth to hand them over, or Phoenix pop in and out again?

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
the gnome will get them when he next sees the elf. There’s no rush

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
As Thorelf sees Korin and Ox step into the room he actually leaves Phoenix's daggers on the floor, thinking he'll pick them up on his way out.
"Soooo...how about this here door?"
Thorelf looks around for any openings in the room.
"And where did those spiders go? No holes in here and no dead spiders?"

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Korin looks all over and if he sees any more webs he will hold the torch near them and burn them off. "Dunno but I'm ready fer em."

Norbold Ernessaeia (Sylvanian Elf Cleric): Scale Mail AC 6 : Hit Points 6 / 6:
While the others were burning things, and recovering thrown daggers, Norbold healed himself for:

Then he got his bow and has an arrow nocked, ready to fire if he sees a spider!

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
As Thorelf & co. look around the spider room, there isn't much web left, only a few strands near the north wall ceiling - but not enough to hide any spiders. Just remnants that didn't catch fire.
Thorelf sees no other openings apart from the one they came in through, and whatever the door in the south wall might be covering.
No sign of any spiders - not even any burned husks.

Korin will check the door for traps then see if the door is locked.

It easily and quickly becomes obvious to the dwarven thief that the door is not trapped at all. In addition, it is unlocked. And....the handle is covered in yucky ashes.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Thorelf, backs away from the door and places himself facing the corridor leading out. He says in a loud voice, still not screaming: "Hey, get in here all of you. Room's clear of spiders and door ahead."
Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Phoenix gets slowly to his feet, getting all tangled in his robe for a time. Hurrumping and chuntering about getting devoured by spiders the gnome stomps back into the spider cave, picking up his daggers on the way past.
He will wait behind the elves and the dwarf as they begin to enter the door, snatching the ceiling nervously for the creepy crawlies, ready run at a moments notice.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
So I guess that means marching order, as Korin opens the door is Korin, then Thorelf, then Ox and last Phoenix. With Norbold still outside finishing up his healing.
Thorelf carries dagger and torch.
"Korin, I'm not sure I get it though. Some lizardmen carried a monk in here, how many years ago? And what's in it for us, except for freeing the monk of course?"

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Behind the door appears a new passage, 10' wide, going straight ahead (i e southwards). There are no special features that you can see from here.
As Norbold is healed, welcome to adjust his character sheet accordingly.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
"True Korin, you did tell me. Although I doubt they came this way? And I don't think you mentioned why the monk is so important? I for one am happy to release any man or woman from the evil clutches of wicked lizardmen, but Norbold did sort of almost die in here, looking for that monk."
Thorelf tags along as Korin enters the passageway.
