Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
1d6 per 10'x10' section (or equivalent). I e one 1d6 roll won't cover a whole room - eg the antechamber would need min. 2 checks for the E wall, 2 for the W wall etc.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Alright. For now I'll just check from the floor plate Korin is currently on on the only wall near him. I'm too short to reach the ceiling so skip that on me.Nordbo wrote:1d6 per 10'x10' section (or equivalent). Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Thorelf checks the wall at the slab he's currently on.
Checking for secret doors, wall at R6: [1d6] = 6
After that, provided Korin lets him pass by without trouble (i.e. without roll to trip), Thorelf checks the other walls on his way back:
Checking for secret doors, wall at R4: [1d6] = 5
Checking for secret doors, wall at L3: [1d6] = 4
Checking for secret doors, wall at L2: [1d6] = 1
Checking for secret doors, wall at R1: [1d6] = 5

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Korin gives room for Thorelf to get back out past him. As the dwarf moves back out to Ox and Pheonix he will check the remainder of the walls from the floor plates deemed safe to step on.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
While searching, Thorelf asks the others: "Are there any other entrances to the mound except for these two, or do we have to pass the ogre if nothing turns up in here?"

Awaiting GM ruling on all search for hidden doors rolls.
To Korin: "Okay, so there are more options. Let's try another after we finished searhing this one."

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
The merry band of adventurers suddenly get into a flurry and start combing the walls in a Time Team*-like frenzy, looking for secret doors in all directions.
Spurred on by Thorelf, Korin first checks the L5 wall near himself, but notices nothing.
Phoenix picks up the cue out in the mouldy room, and taps each wall section (E wall x2, W wall x2, N wall x1), but fails to identify anything concealed.
While these two get busy, Thorelf himself raps the uneven wall at R6 with no results, then skips back to R4 via L5 (without bumping into Korin) with no clues on that wall either, nor at L3. That his searching skills do work becomes evident at L2 however: there he is certain...that there is definitely no secret door at all . However, he does find a small dried furry tail poked into a crack - probably the tail of a squirrel. And finally, nothing at R1.
Hot on his heels comes the dwarf - Korin does the same round as Thorelf but gets no readings anywhere.
All this searching takes several rounds, and when Thorelf's horse starts munching away at Norbold's backpack, everyone realises that maybe it's time for a lunch break. You've crossed a stream, fought an ogre and dodged traps all morning. And when Norbold begins to mutter: "Ahm... things were better back in the sunny days" you know it's time for some rest.

Phoenix slumps to be floor happily. I am all for a spot of lunch. What now. Shall we retackle the ogre or try a different entrance?”

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Thorelf leans against a wall and unwraps a cloth from which he pulls an apple, a cheese wedge and a bit of bread. "Ah, yes? Maybe try the other entrances first? I am in no mood of fighting an ogre, that's for sure. If it comes to that, I suggest we lure him out instead."

By the way, here's Thorelf.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Korin nods agreeing about the ogre "Aye, I aint gonna tangle with that biggin till i absolutely have ta. What gets me is whats with them traps just ta have no durned real door. Durned waste o time if yah ask me." the dwarf digs out some rations and his skin containing ale... afterwards taking out his pipe stuffing it with some tobacco and lighting it puffing away on it looking deep in thought.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
”It would be foolish to draw the creature out into the open where it can attack us, when if we attack it from the tunnel it cannot fit in it to get at us. And in all honesty it would be foolish to lay such a deadly corridor in a place that local residents would need to traverse all the time. It makes sense that it is just a false passage to finish off interlopers to the mound who don’t know where they are going and probably shouldn’t be here. Don’t you think?” the multi-coloured wizard says innocently through a mouth full of hard tack.

"I don't know Phoenix. If it was me, I might have put my treasure chamber hidden at the end of the deadly corridor. Otherwise, any interloper might just stumble into the right opening and ignore the traps altogether. Anyway, let's wrap up and follow Ox to check on the other openings."
After having finished his meal, Korin puts back his stuff in the backpack and walks out to join Ox in looking for other entrances.
Guys, how do I include an image in my character sheet? I see you've all done so. Thanks.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
if you go to your character sheet by clicking on the dice at the top of the screen, and click on the sheet itself, there is a small preview link just above the actual sheet. Just copy and paste the preview link into the relevant section and voila

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
But how do I embed an image (png-file) of my character in the character sheet? Like you have a photo of a painted model at the start of Phoenix's character sheet.Storm11 wrote:if you go to your character sheet by clicking on the dice at the top of the screen, and click on the sheet itself, there is a small preview link just above the actual sheet. Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
oh I see. That’s a bit more tricky. It’s the imgurl link above I think, but the image needs to be on a site like photobucket first, so you can copy the link there. There are other sites too if you don’t have a photobucket account.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
quick answer on the image added to a character sheet is you have to use html code <img src=image url here></img>
Korin after the quick lunch and smoke break packs up his pipe and moves to the third entrance and heads in once everyone else is ready.
