Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Korin shrugs and points to the left most entrance "As good as any ta start with."

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Ox hears nothing when listening at the leftmost entrance. But he notices a faint fishy smell.
Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Phoenix nods in the affirmative. "Yea let us enter. We need a plan for marching order and possibly scouting, and someone to watch our back!". The gnome readies his weapons.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
So the marching order so far is either
X / Y / Z / Korin --->
or
Korin / X / Y / Z --->
?
X / Y / Z / Korin --->
or
Korin / X / Y / Z --->
?
Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Ox- Will go in second so that he can cast a spell.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Will Phoenix, who seemed happy with several alternatives, in the face of Ox preference for 2nd position drop his request for position two ? If so, if my brain's working correctly, that leaves the following possible combinations:
Norbold / Phoenix / Ox / Korin --->
or
Phoenix / Norbold / Ox / Korin --->
or
Korin / Phoenix / Ox / Norbold --->
noting that Pyro has not yet stated his preferences for Norbold.
Norbold / Phoenix / Ox / Korin --->

Korin / Phoenix / Ox / Norbold --->
noting that Pyro has not yet stated his preferences for Norbold.
Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Phoenix would like to go second to last. I.E. 3rd. Cheers

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Sorry Storm, I misread your previous post - OK then that leaves these two options:
Norbold / Phoenix / Ox / Korin --->
or
Korin / Phoenix / Ox / Norbold --->
Norbold / Phoenix / Ox / Korin --->
or
Korin / Phoenix / Ox / Norbold --->
Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
The outside light does not reach very far into the 15' high opening, so from where everybody is standing at the moment it's difficult to see exactly what's inside.

Norbold Ernessaeia (Sylvanian Elf Cleric): Scale Mail AC 6 : Hit Points 6 / 6:
Norbold says, "Eh I'll go in last that way I can either pull someone back and heal or run over and heal you up if necessary."

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Phoenix stands to the side of the entrance. "this is not the work of wizards. Hardier souls and stealthier ones will shine here. We shall wait and guard your exit, someone go in a ways and see what your can discover, but not too far. Be wary of traps!" The gnome takes cover along the wall to the right of the entrance, only his head peering within.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Perfect! We now have a marching order:
Norbold / Phoenix / Ox / Korin --->
(from which Phoenix already seems to have stepped aside )

Korin enters the same entrance Ox was listening at.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
The passage seems cut out from mud. As mentioned earlier, the outside light doesn't really reach very far in, so neither Korin, Ox nor Phoenix peering over their shoulders can see anything much inside the passage, except that it continues onwards and that there definitely is a vague muddy/fishy smell coming from within.
Korin's high-tuned sense of dwarven perception, however, lets him deduce that, judging from the short echo of their steps inside, the passage probably isn't very long.

Ox using his elven eyes looks for any movement from within.
