Most of the day is still yours, the time being early morning. If you go by air, the raiders will be forced to look directly at a rising sun, assuming they are smart enough to look up. Two PipBoys will come in handy for all sorts of tracking. Just gotta know what to track...

OOC Can pip boys act as radios to communicate with?

Checks to see if his PipBoy can still track while airborn, seeing if he can get a fix on anything as he goes. He plays it safe at about 30' for now waving at his comrades, obviously enjoying himself as he wobbles too and fro.

In this game, I don't see why not. If they can pick up radio waves from music stations, then they should be able to do the same for close to mid-range communications. The tracking feature still works. The blips on your radar show the locations of radscorpions out in the distant wastes, even while in the air.

Zeke stashes Deuce's bike in the garage, then listens to Seven's Pimp-Boy for news from the 'copter.

Duece is obviously having the time of his life! "It's beautiful up here, lads! Oh I wish you could see it! I've wanted one of these ever since I could remember!" He pulls up to get higher and puts the binoculars to his eyes and looked around.

You catch the glare of the sun through the binoculars and feel temporarily blinded. Still, even with half blurry vision, you have an excellent view of the ruined city down below. What do you look for in particular?

From your high vantage point, even with the sun's glare, you have spotted what you believe to be the raider camp. The section of the city they are holed up in is an open courtyard, but all of the entrances are fortified with wooden palisades mashed together with metal shards and barbed wire. It's early morning, so you don't see to much activity in the camp. Six, maybe eight raiders can be spotted. You are too high up to make out anything more specific. The open courtyard appears to be the central hub of the camp, a couple of large buildings connected to it. Sneaking through one of the buildings could be a viable option, but you don't know what the numbers are like on the inside.

Duece relays this info to his companions as he makes a wide circle putting the sun to his back and checking with his binoculars again, he also checks for a perimeter and any scout or patrol activity.

Zeke

I don't want to go in there unless the kid's there... or there's some serious loot. Plus we don't know how many there are.

I say we scout a little longer. At some point, they'll go out, you know, raiding. At least then we'll have a better idea of their numbers, and we can think about sneaking in while they're away. We can afford to be patient.

Seven "Question being how long in scouting before they can hear that thing?"

There are no scouting parties spotted, however, something does jump out in the corner of your eye. A spot of yellow can be found on top of one of the buildings overlooking the area, stationary, but small, as big as a man perhaps.

Zeke says, We don't need to have the copter up there all the time. We scout the entrance, wait for them to leave, then put the copter up. Deuce can watch for their return while you and me get in there and get out. I wonder if that thing can lift us over the fence...

Seven "Well another question then how do we get all out bikes back home if he wants to keep the copter? I doubt that thing can hold more than maybe two people at once."
