I am pretty sure you used both of those spells this very morning.

Please correct me if that's wrong.

(I hope you didn't forget why)

You are of course absolutely right. I obviously misunderstood your question.

That list should read like this.

Luther 13/13
Jack 10/10 CL, DM, RM, 1/1 first
Monocar 12/12
Lightfinger 10/10
Saracen 12/12 2/3 first
Chauncey 6/6 CL, DM, RM, 1/1 first
Avalaa 5/5 CL, DM, RM, 1/1 first
Raythan 6/6 CL, DM, RM, 1/1 first / 3/3 first (cleric)
Alordan 10/10

I must have copied it from the wrong thread or something.
Thanks for catching that one!

So I've been trying to not read the kids adventure since I'm not present, but comments like these:

I actually encourage players to read ALL the threads, whether they are involved in them or not.

Everything that happens in the public threads is considered common knowledge that is shared freely amongst the islands adventurers and commoners alike. (gossip, tall tales of heroics, spinning yarns in the tavern, etc.)

Anything that players consider private actions are being handled in the private threads. There are a few players who are really taking advantage of this. They have just as much happening behind the scenes as in the main threads, essentially doubling their xp earnings.

Of course, you can play however you like. But I feel that you are cheating yourself out of important information gathering if you aren't reading all of the threads.

I took the hungry/thirsty comment as some kind of life force draining. Not level, but something more visceral. Anyone else get that vibe?

The hungry comment from the kids? Possibly. Maybe time works differently inside the light bubble.

I thought for sure it was that they were so enthralled they would have listened to the music till they starved to death...

Nice idea re: the acid, Pixie.

Depending on how long they were actually gone from the village, hungry/thirsty might not be significant. They might _just_ be hungry.

Really great use of the OOC thread lately!

That might be the most discussion about strategy that I have ever seen in a game on here.

Kudos all around, and keep up the good work!!!

I think I see what you're getting at. As in "hungry for our faces."

I just have hard time accepting anything out here, attracting easy prey like children ~not~ being predatory. Maybe it has to exhaust it's victims to death, but I am damn sure not believing it isn't some variety of hostile.

So speaking of overall strategy, do folks have an idea of what is really going on?

Thoughts:

1) Where the heck are the dwarven miners and what are they up to?
2) What's up with the captain and the town mayor (i forget his title) - must be related to something valuable on the island?
3) Troll should die. not much going on there unless he kick's our ass again :)
4) Monkoons could be an ally but not sure if they fit in any other way in the picture?
5) Lots of activity on the river!
6) are loggers still around somewhere and if so where do the logs go?

Current mysteries

Where are the loggers? I suspect they are now zombies, possibly captives.

Where are the dwarves? I didn't even know there were dwarves so I have no clue about this. Is there a mine or something. Sounds vaguely familiar.

Where are the zombies coming from and what's controlling them. There is undeath on the island and someone's pulling their chain.

Where are the natives? Hopefully none of the groups will solve this mystery as they delve deeper into the jungle.

The troll seems straight forward, but it might have kin.

What are kids doing in such a dangerous place? These parents are truly the most terrible parents ever.

How to sustain the town without totally ravishing the surroundings. How many townsfolk are there anyhow?

That's all I got currently.
