Exploding upwards from his immediate vicinity, shards of stone burst from the ground and then corkscrew through the air with a shrill whistling sound before converging on and striking the trapped sea thing with a dull thump.
I put alot of effort into originality, imagination and description into this game, especially in the execution of spells. It's what makes the game! Sometimes it shines, sometimes it flops. THIS ^ is outstanding!

The fumes have dissipated enough that they will still be uncomfortable to breath, but won't cause any more damage to either the PC's or the troll.
