Quest #29 “Raiders of the Lost Obelisk”
Chauncey is adamant that these obelisks he keeps hearing about must hold the answers to this strange islands mysteries. With everyone in town now talking about them as well, he might want to hurry his group along if he intends to be the first one to find them.
Ok folks, here is a thread where you can begin to make your preparations to head back out into the jungle again. Go ahead and post your list of everyone who is going and discuss any essentials. As soon as this group is set to begin, we will be off for more adventure.
Feel free to copy and paste any discussions or lists that have already been posted elsewhere into this thread.

Avaala is along for this trip. He will make sure his food supplies and waterskins are topped off and that his gear is all in good shape. He hasn't had time to carve anything interesting into his new staff yet, but it is fine shape for cracking skulls.
"There is no spoon."

Luther Edit
Luther is in. He has completed his new longbow, and is scrounging whatever rations he can, including some questionable things like dried insects. He will pack his usual weapons, his rope, armor, the bag of spikes (20), waterskin, and his tinderbox.
He'll also take along his two-man tent.
He arrives at the jumping-off point with his gear on his back. He shakes, jumps, and twists as he walks, ensuring everything is secure.
This may be a long trip, folks.

Wes
Wes collects his gear, mixes up more anti-bug paste and puts Wrrk the chameleon into his backpack again. He also collects several lengths of vine to knot together.

Re: Quest #29 “Raiders of the Lost Obelisk”
Here is the party list of who I believe is going on this mission, though Cealwyn's status is unclear based on some posts in the BS thread.
Chauncey
Avaala
Luther
Bonnie
Wes
Cealwyn (?)
Chauncey will arrange his things for travel, packing his new wand and taking care to bring extra water and dried lungfish, or whatever is available at the fire pit these days. Early the morning of departure, he can be seen bathing a reluctant Mr. Wrenly in his chicken foot brazier, which he has dragged out behind his shack and converted to temporary use as a wash-basin.
"Mr Wrenly, hold still, if you please! You will not set out on this adventure smelling like beef and cheese if I have anything to say about it.... Yes, people can smell it... No... No.... Not true! They just don't comment out of politeness, I assure you," he can be heard to say amidst the splashing and shrill cries of protest from his simian associate.
First near the loggers trail head he waits for the others to arrive. Backpack on, he peers into the brush, focused, as if listening for something.

Apologies! I completely forgot I had committed Cealwyn to a scouting trip with Grimm.

If you guys feel like both of those groups are a little thin, you could try to combine the two parties together and take on the challenges one at a time.
In fact, I encourage that in this situation.

I'd be all for that. Maybe we can rp Cealwyn stopping by and discussing it IC?

Re: Quest #29 “Raiders of the Lost Obelisk”
Yeah, I'm fine doing that too. Any need to RP it or could we get directly into action? It's not like Grimm as lots to do in town. He's just drinking tea and waiting to have 3hp back

So where do we have to go first? Were we both heading to the obelisk? Are we ready to go?

What is the other destination?

Last call for Daisy, Liam, or anyone else who is looking for adventure.

Oops. I stopped checking this once I dipped out. Apologies. If I need to roleplay the process with anyone, I'm happy to. Or I'll just have him appear and be ready to roll. As you like. Two birds with one stone sounds fine to me.

Re: Quest #29 “Raiders of the Lost Obelisk”
Ok, here we go. An attempt to make this less confusing :
As Chauncey waits for his "forces" to gather he notes Cealwyn and Grimm approaching the staging site.
"Ah! Word of great deeds in the making 'gets around,' as it were. Have you come to take part in the heroic annals by joining my Obelisk Strike Force, gentlemen?" he says.

Cealwyn Blackthorn
The ranger breathes easily, adjusting his pack and checking his weapons as he walks alongside Grimm. Setting out is his favorite part of an adventure--fresh goals, optimism, and a chance for gold and glory.
"Indeed," he says. "Cealwyn Blackthorn. A pleasure to meet you."

I'm not even considering running Daisy and Luther in the same adventure.
