I think you missed the part where I said I was super dumb... :)

Thanks for all the well wishes and advice, guys. Especially the beer advice.

I seem to be mostly back up to speed. Pain is gone and I can see. Going now for one last follow up with the surgeon. Should be able to get back to it tonight.

Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

I just wanted to thank all of you for making me feel welcome. From what I've seen, you are all some great roleplayers. (I think Jack is particularly interesting. It can't be easy to play that level of mischief and still get things done. :-) )

That might have been a slight misunderstanding on his part from something that I wrote up for his background.

Let me go through the private threads to see if I can figure out why he might have said that.

It is pretty clear that the monkoons are animals of some kind. But that doesn't necessarily mean that they are of animal intelligence. Jack could certainly gauge some clue from their spoken words that he has understood so far. (they're not dumb) :D

I dug around a little bit and found a post where Wes tried talking to the monkoons, but it wasn't by the "Speak With Animals" spell, just plain ol' talking. The little boy that was with him at the time had to reminded Wes that animals cant talk.

I wonder if that is where the confusion came in.

Anyway, Wes would be happy to try a spell now, if he was only here. :D
