Quest #20 "Look At The Bones!!!"

"You are right." says Galanthas with a grave voice. Let's go to the inn first, and then look around town. Surely there's someone around who can do something for Wes. The elf starts walking up to the inn.

Saracen is currently in the sea experimenting with his light magic (if this is the day of the 10th)

It's the 10th indeed. I guess we'll finally meet up around, but I'll wait for Ogre to say his part, since who know what we may find during the search!

[OGRE MAGE]

It is.

And Brother Gilbert may also be available for "free" healing. But I doubt you would find him in the tavern. He might be found wandering through town though. (remember that time is fairly abstract once you get into town)

Lets keep that action here, since it pertains to the closure of this mission.

Jax nods to Galanthas. "You check the Inn and I'll check around the rest of the village. If he's out and about, we'll find him."

If and when Jax finds Brother Gilbert or Saracen, he will quickly pass along the information about Wes, and tell them where he is. He will follow them back to Wes.

"Ok." says Galanthas and goes immediately to the inn.

And does pretty much the same as Jaxsen.

Talaris sees Jaxsen and Galanthas leave the unconscious druids side to seek out cheaper assistance. He calls out to them as they leave.

"If you have changed your mind, just let me know! It would be a shame if poor Wes's condition took a turn for the worse while you were away!"

Understanding just how well-loved Wes is in Beachtown, Jaxsen is sure to amend every, "Have you seen Saracen or Brother Gilbert?" with "Because THAT Cleric," pointing at Talaris "Refused to help Wes without being paid for it."

If either spots the half-orc paddling in the ocean at Beachtown he waves them
Over and listens intently to their troubles. Knowing Wes to be a good chap the holy champion quickly gathers his research gear and follows whichever of the duo finds him.

Upon seeing Wes so ill Saracen will swiftly intone a Healing prayer to the lord of light, and place his glowing palms upon the Druid.

Wes

Wes opens his eyes and lays there for a moment staring at the sky. “Obad Hai. I’m sorry. I failed you. I took the bait and became the prey, not the hunter. Please grant me your forgiveness”. He closes his eyes again.

After a few more moments he reopens his eyes and sits up, looking at those around him.“Thank you all for saving me. Galanthas, Jaxsen, I owe you my life. I cannot thank you enough for this.” He takes a closer look at Jaxsen. “By the Shalm! You look like I feel. What happened to you? Some pox of that creature I reckon. Here, let me repay a little of my debt”

Wes gets up and raises his hand in front of the monk’s face and calls out to his god.“Obad Hai, give me strength to drive out this terrible malady”.Then the druid uses his magic to heal some of his own injuries, but realizes that he is not in great favor with Obad Hai right now.

With that done, the druid pats himself down. “Err…I don’t suppose anybody picked up that bone by any chance?” he asks, after coming up empty-handed.“Also, if somebody could give me a shoulder to lean on, I need to get over to the common houses to see if anybody else needs healing, and to the vegetable gardens to bless them with Obad Hai’s power.”

Saracen pats the half-elf. You should probably rest some. A brush with death is not easily shrugged off. If I am not longer needed I will get back to my research. Good day gentlemen he says as he turns to go.

Jaxsen Reiter

"Saracen, I appreciate your efforts. I will not forget." Seeing Wes open his eyes, Jaxsen smiles in relief. "You owe me nothing. We are hive." After the healing spell, Jaxsen says, "The reason I waited until you were revived is because you have developed a lot of skill with the local diseases and fevers. This feels more like an illness than an injury." Jaxsen nods at Wes' question. "Yes, the bone you wanted is under your tunic at your waist. I took no chances with it."

With the aid of Saracen, Wes is back on his feet, but still feeling the effects of his tangle with the super sized snake.

He quickly calls on the power of the Shalm to cure Jaxsen of his disease, and then heals himself as well. The monk feels better instantly, but Wes doesn't do as well with his own healing. He thinks it might have something to do with their last encounter, but the others quickly brush the idea off.

Wes asks for a hand getting him to the farm fields where he can work the final bits of his powerful magic for the day.

Jax happily lends a shoulder to Wes to get him anywhere he wants to go.

"Dammit! The bone!... I'm glad you're back among us, Wes. And I thank you for what you've done for our friend here, Saracen. Give us a shout if you need us at some point, I guess we'll be around."

Seeing that Jaxsen is lending Wes a hand, Galanthas turns around and starts walking away: "I'm gonna do something. It won't take me long. I'll look for you once I'm around." and leaves.
