Ameer, still determined to assist his companions in defeating this threat, shoots another volley of arrows towards the remaining beast.

"The beast shall fall soon, remain strong!" he calls out.

Benham Iskandar

Iskandar will once more wave the flying Jambiya ineffectually in the general direction of the Ankheg. He is seriously beginning to wonder if it is actually better when Jamal fails to bring back a spell, allowing for proper assignation of blame, as opposed to this, where he himself looks bad but has no way to spread fault.

Dubb

Dubb is having singer's remorse. He could be swinging blades with Asad, Abrex and others. He could be casting cool spells. But no, he had to choose to sing this.

He continues with his song.

Abrex

Abrex gathers his two arrows from the beast,"Good Job friends. I must say those pinchers hurt but we prevailed thanks to the Learned Zann and Fate. I think the singing helped Dubb although perhaps off key a bit(as Abrex chuckles a bit). Jamal that's good thinking to cut them open. Perhaps we can send something in to fetch it too so we don't get blood on us."

As soon as Alara is back Jamal attempts to do just that, casting his unseen servant spell.

[1d100] = 63

and does so successfully. Smiling he winks at the djinnling, who blows an exaggerated kiss back at the halfling wizard and takes a bow in mid air.

”I am ready when you are Ben.” the sha’ir says excitedly, wiggling his fingers ‘magically

As the last of the creatures falls to the sand, Ameer sets out to recover any arrows which belong to him. He also takes a few moments to check in with his private guard on the state of their mounts and supplies.

Dubb

Dubb finally stops singing. His voice is a bit hoarse after putting so much effort into it. "Good gods these things were practically banks! No wonder they wanted some camel meat, they must have had terrible indigestion."

Looking down at the pile of coin, gems, and weapons covered in innards, he declares "Let's gather the...treasure? And then break camp. Who needs some patching up after that? Asad?"

Duub will cast a CLW on those who desire.

Asad beams triumphantly at his might victory! He nods appreciatively at the spoils of war and kicks the head of the nearest dead Ankheg for good measure. "Ah HA! Glorious Victory! Time permitting we would feast on their flesh!"

Asad looks at Dubb and flexes his mighty arms. "I am unscathed! Fate has recognized my brilliance in combat!"

Jamal lifts the gems and the sword and dagger with the unseen servant and washes them off with his waterskin.

A detect magic spell Alara, if you please my dear. Chop chop!” The Djinnling scowls and huffs. Chop chop indeed, carry on like that and it might just be your ears you little weasel!” she says, before crackling out of sight.

[1d100] = 55 : [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2 : [1d6+2] = 6+2 = 8 : [1d6+3] = 2+3 = 5 : [1d6+4] = 2+4 = 6

In two rounds she returns at the sha’irs shoulder and yanks on his hair, causing Jamal to yelp in surprise. ”Your spell, your worshipfulness. Quick enough for you?”

The sha’ir swats at his unruly gen and curses in halfling, before he feels the spells Energy enter his mind and he begins to cast the magic. [1d100] = 6 Successfully and looks over all the treasures to see if any are enchanted.

The sword, dagger and that ruby there are enchanted. Jamal says smiling. He brings over the gem and pockets it for safe keeping until he can figure out what it does.

Abrex

Abrex says, "If know one else wants the Longsword I would be interested in it."

Abrex will take the longsword and examine the weapon for balance and craftsmanship.

Is there any way you can tell if any of these items is cursed or would be harmful to use Dubb?” Jamal asks helpfully.

Dubb

"An excellent idea Jamal. I could try to detect any evil intent from the objects, but it's been my experience that items aren't inherently evil or good. At least nothing that I have personally seen. I could attempt some kind of divination, but I'm betting you know how precise that can be."

Dubb thinks for a moment. "I thought masters of secular magic had the ability to determine the nature of any magic objects. Either way, it may be that the chance of a harmful magic object being found in the bellies of these beasts is low. Or maybe the objects were bad luck, resulting in the death of their previous owners." Dubb chuckles a bit and continues packing up. "Only one good way to find out."
