Down a hole: Benham, Ahmed, Asad, Emma, Dubb, Rashad

Rashad decides to join the group in the underground tunnel and climbs down picks up the stone Benham tossed down and follows the group.
Underground group eyes only
ooc: Adventure module calls for save v poison but everyone I'm going to say has taken to covering their face so the smell does not bother them. The stinking tunnel now lit by magical light reveals that the earthen tunnel leads to a cavern. Which appears to have been the ghouls lair. From the looks of it using the magical light stone Benham reveals that it looks like the cavern roof leads up into the bottoms of several tombs. The ghouls most likely from the looks of it, burrow up underneath the graves from their underground lairs to
rob the tombs of their dead and valuables and consume the dead. Looking around the cavern a large hoard sits in the middle of the cavern, intermingled with a vast pile of bones that seems to cover
the earth-packed floor like a grisly carpet. Scattered about are many copper pieces, silver pieces, gold pieces, five gems (three amethysts, an aquamarine, and a sapphire), a gold necklace, a pair of
opal earrings, a suit of ceremonial lamellar armor, a gold-hilted scimitar, a jambiya with a gleaming blade made from Qudran steel, and a small buckler painted with crescent moons and edged in gold. The weaponry and armor should come in handy. Looking around you see there are other tunnels leading out of the cavern "Ghoul Lair" same size as the tunnel you all entered from 5' diameter. These 5-foot-diameter passages radiate outward from the central lair, and could lead into a catacomb/maze of tunnels.

Trying to get the doors open from the inside so far has proven to amount to nothing the other civilians in the space are a little calmer now that the ghouls are defeated. Though the huddle away from them nearer to the doors. Jamal calls his gene to get him a spell and awaits her return everyone else is trying to use force to get the doors open amounting to sore arms and shoulders, ramming the doors is not working. Someone could try and climb the pillars or you all can go down the hole with the rest of the group, that or you can see what Jamal is up to with the spell he asked for.

Jamal will wait for the djinnling to return and see if her search is successful.

When the hovering Alara returns with a smile the halfling feels the magic enter his mind. He points at the left hand door and casts reduce upon it.

[1d100] = 16 Success.

Asad - down below
"Finally! Fate provides some spoils to compensate for our deeds!" Asad immediately investigates the golded scimitar. He picks it up to feel it's weight and examine it's quality.

Jamal's spell hits the door on the left and the door makes a metallic groaning noise and the lower end of the door flexes, curls a bit and shrinks at the lower corner near where it meets the adjacent door the metal curls up enough that there is about a 2' opening/gap that someone smaller might be able to crawl through to get back outside to try and unlock the doors.

Jamal peers out under the opening and has a look for the traitorous ‘brother’ of Ayyam. If he can’t see anyone he will scoot through the door opening and call for Alara to follow. ”Help me lift this bar would you?” he huffs giving it a push.

Abrex Myzeen LN Faris: AC 0: HP 22: Thac0: 17

Abrex says, "Good Job Jamal. I'll help where I can. IF they get to door open Abrex calls down to the others that they have opened the doors."

IF no one responds he adds, "Our friends can't hear us. I think we should go help them. Perhaps they left a trail to follow? At least we know we can leave through the door if we catch them and need to back out."

If the group up top doesn't have a better plan Abrex goes down the hole.

Peering outside there is no sign of anyone, Muli or anyone at all, footprints in the sands indicate Muli fled back into the city of Muluk. Crawling through the new opening on the outside of the door there is a lever that when pulled down moves the bar up into a locking mechanism that prevents the bar from coming back down the doors can now be pushed open.

Jamal leaps up and pulls the leaver. ”Come Alara, sit on this and add your weight to help!” the halfling says huffing.

”Are you calling me fat shorty?” the floating gen growls, glaring at the back of the sha’irs head.

Holding his tongue the wizard rolls his eyes taps the leaver as patiently as he can. Alara floats over to it and pushes down as well helping the door to open.

Ahmed Ibn Fahdlan
Ibn kneels down and retrieves a torch from his side pack pouch then using flint w/steel lights a torch which will give him better visibility, he will then moves over were the bright jewelry is and scoops the gems, earrings, and necklace into his waist pouch for safekeeping, he will worry about the coins when the others spread out more and a better assessment can be made of the chamber.

Dubb
"Ah, it seems our friends have been quite busy." He looks up and around at the numerous holes created by the ghouls.

"Grave Robbing is a serious offense..." He glances at the few members who have pocketed some shinies,

"Punishable by death."

He then slowly grins and reaches down to pick up the buckler. "It's a shame most of the items stolen from the tombs above went missing."

"Shall we explore a tunnel? Maybe one leads to the surface."

Rahkeem ibn Hamad al-Qudra

Rahkeem glances at where his companions wandered down underground and seeing that his companions seem to have the situation well in hand up here, he calls out; "I'm gonna head down and make sure the others are alright". He then proceeds to do so, with Cutlass and Dirk in hand....

Benham Iskandar

The sha'ir speaks softly to the others, I do not think we should explore these tunnels until the rest of our team is present. He heads upstairs to let everyone else know what lies below.

We have found their lair. It appears they have been digging up into graves in order to feed upon the dead. As a side effect of this, they have also managed to collect a fair amount of treasure. There are a number of tunnels branching out into the unknown, but if we explore further, all of us should be there.

Seeing the disfigured door, he nods at Jamal, Nice work. Creative spell use.

Rashad motions to the others "Did you hear that? It sounded like someone shouted down to us that the doors above are opened. Shall we return and leave this place?"

Emma

Nods. "Lets gather this up and tske it to the priests. They can decide what to do with it and how to appease the dead here. I think we need to take our unfortunate lady as well before they make a meal of her remains too. I wonder... you think all this is enough we could have her resurrected? She could bare witness to her own murder then."

Once Jamal lifts the bar and opens the door, he will return to the otters. On seeing his fellow Sha’ir and heading the human wizard’s words the halfling and Alara will puff up with pride. ”Thank you Benham, I appreciate that coming from such a distinguished fellow wizard. Shall we gather together the treasures of the undead and perhaps see where some of these tunnels lead. Did you check what was discovered for enchantment? Come Alara my dear, let us explore the depths of this funeral hall!”

With the floating djinnling following Jamal follows the tall sha’ir into the tunnel to the others.

Dubb

Dubb greets the newcomers into the pit of death. "Hey Guys. Thanks for coming down."
He motions to the pile of treasure. "Let's bag this up and head back to town. Emma had a good idea about the dead. We need to find some authorities to deal with this problem."

"I'll stand watch." Dubb moves to a darker corner and peers down a few tunnels.

Anuzal reluctantly goes the ladder. Have you found anything of use? Did the cleric bring lots of holy water?
