Rowenn552, would you please post Basil Day's info into the High and Mighty Guzzlers thread?

Nice character pic! I wish I'd used that when I was describing the fresco.

So of our PCs, we have one painting, one metal-man and 2 wooden soldiers.

That leaves us 4 humans to accommodate. We have one suit, but also a glass case we might be able to jerry-rig for a couple-three folks... Should we try to enter the void as a group? What supplies do we have to turn the coffin into a life support system?

Starbeard wrote:The Princess Dormillon continues to circle the room, checking for secret passages, while the others experiment with the ether. She hums a tune to herself as she goes, long remembered from distant childhood, occasionally voicing snippets of the lyrics:

"Day after day unto her feet, / She lying on her couch alone,
Across the purple coverlet, / The maiden’s jet-black hair has grown;
On either side her trancèd form / Forth streaming from a braid of pearl;
The slumberous light is rich and warm, / And moves not on the rounded curl."
Good one! +500 Aptness points!

Horton is not fond of the idea of going back down and through the soldiers. But I don't see how more than one of the humans can safely travel the void. The glass case would not protect from the cold and wouldn't it be airtight as well?

The one possibility I can see so far is if the boat travels very fast. This would make sense, wouldn't it? Whoever is traveling the void isn't going to do so at the rate of months or longer. If it travels fast then we can treat this like the goat/wolf/basket of cabbages puzzle (kind of) and ferry humans across one at a time.

Was just thinking the same. The portal seems like the only (interesting) way to leave the room, so let's get the cold-proof in the boat, and see what happens. It also occurs to me that holding onto the rope, in the case of a super fast boat, might be kind stupid... ;)

I dig these ideas and as soon as Basil wakes he is willing to test what happens to paint in the cold void of space.
I'll get an in character post out tonight. Work has been brutal.

Hey guys. Sorry for my absence. After just getting over an eye surgery I had last week, this morning I hit myself in the same eye with a pair of nunchucks. I'm not making this up. If you knew me personally you wouldn't be surprised by this... AT ALL. I'm pretty badass in real life. Also super dumb and uncoordinated.

I may be able to post tomorrow night as apparently the cornea heals surprisingly quickly. If not, and if you need to, please NPC me.

As you can see, using modern technology, I'm able to dictate notes. It's reading that's the problem.

That is a sentence of crystalline beauty and perfection. Thank you. The world thanks you!

Also, best of luck with your recovery! I'm glad it's something that will heal quickly.

Since no one relishes the idea of going back to the wizard's tower, should we try to force our way into the hall using the void as a shield? In that way we may be able to get a foothold on this side and be able to continue here. Other ideas?

Enjoy! Bring us back a churro or funnel cake or deep-fried dill pickle, or something.
