Iggway watches as the natives begin their attack, then looks at the innocent children trying to survive in the confines of this hell-hole. She shakes her head in disgust and thinks why do they attack without any cause.

Old Eli, sea priest:

"Aye. Good, lads. Ye are stout hearted and true." the broken old prophet tells the half dozen teens.
If the cleric won't get the oil, Old Eli turns to the nuns with wild eyes and dire voice, "Good sisters, we don't be havin' much time. Go now! Bring the oil! We can be usin' it to ward off our would-be murderers. Go!"

Knowing that the others had blades in their hands when they were netted, Siggard thinks it best if he keeps his position hidden from these natives. He stays in the bush and its clumpy vines, using the trees to hide behind, hoping that he hasn't been detected.

He pulls his pistols, thinking that a couple of shots might at least scare away a few of these natives. He holds his fire and tries to get an accurate head count on them if they move in towards their trapped prize. If the natives keep their distance and continue throwing spears at is friends, he lets his guns blaze in their direction.

Despite his visual advantages from this vantage point, Geoffrey is struggling to alter the shot to account for the elevation.

[1d20-3] = 8-3 = 5 damage [2d4] = 2

He can only hope his bullets are slowing down the foes.

Village People:

Rexlin swings to no avail except to drop his scimitar on the floor. 'Gin' Van de Poel wriggles around to aim his loaded crossbow but his aim is also off, Holden frantically attacks the net trying to cut himself free. He needs to sharpen his blade. The three amigos below the net sneer at the antics of the trapped trio and lunge with their spears again, native spear attack Rex, Hol, VdP [1d20] = 7 [1d20] = 4 [1d20] = 4 The wriggling mass of arms, legs and buttocks somehow dodging the pointy end of the spears. Two flashes of sparks and two plumes of smoke erupt from behind the vine creepers and from the bell bottoms of Siggards sleeves.
(you may add dex modifier to both pistol and musket shooting) His left hand gun blasting a neat hole in the temple of one native, killing him before he hits the floor.(Next actions please)

Sisters Manse

Iggway and Pocc continue with their ministrations of healing and help for the 'beseiged' sheltering in the nuns bedrooms or the injured man in the kitchen with Padre Claude.(private forums please)

Mission station

Geoffrey gets another shot away. His aim is off but the shooting keeps heads down. two muskets also fire from behind the stone wall accompanied by a few bolts. A couple of the running natives stumble and fall but the rest quicken to reach halfway across the open ground. You may have another round of range fire before a melee ensues. Pascale dutifully reloads a musket and points to a few men running to the chapel front door. (short range)

Zoggrot, still hidden from view and Elijah prepare for a melee. The sisters inside the chapel encourage folk with a song to lift their spirits. Huddled in the centre of the chapel the song lifts the morale of the defenders, everyone including the bell tower snipers receives the benefit of a Bless spell (+1 to hit). A youth has sprinted off to obtain flasks of oil for Elijah. Zoggrot, elevated a little higher than the others can see the 'bonehead' native on the extreme left of the natives. After kneeling in prayer and raising his arms to the heavens he runs to the right and out of view behind the manse walls.

Captain Lazarus
stands his ground in the middle of the wall taking careful aim with a pistol. The crack of fire snaps brusquely and one native falls clutching his head."Keep steady men, we can turn this tide of savages."

next actions please.

Rexlin

Cursing in Gauldese as he drops his sword, he reaches into his sash and points Sonia directly at the head of the nearest native, but his aim is thrown off as his crewmates set the net bobbing again.

Elijah Crowthorne, ancient mariner:

Waiting for the boy to bring oil, Old Eli mutters a prayer to Poseidon to watch over and keep them.

Then the wizzened prophet casts his glaring eyes around the sacristy, looking for likely idols the raiding natives might be targeting next.

"Sisters, through which doors an' windows did the natives be invadin' ye church last time?"

With his pistols now both empty, Siggard curses himself under his breath for not taking the time to finish his reloading training with Face. He holsters the firearms and sneaks out from behind the vines. Pulling his dagger, he tries to cut the net down to free his friends, hopefully dropping them blade first right on top of the aggressive natives.

Once the net has been cut, he jumps out at the tribesmen, brandishing his staff and swinging it wildly in their direction. He hopes that he can distract them long enough for the others to right themselves and press the attack.

Holden seeing Siggard trying to cut the nets down, he swings himself in the net so that he falls on top of a tribesman sword first.

Village People

The net swings precariously as the trio try to escape their entanglement. Rexlin blasts wide with his pistol, Van de Poel and Siggard hack at different strands of the snare which causes enough fraying for the net to jerk free and jerks three jerks on the two standing below. One is impaled by the blade of Holden as he stands gawping at the swingers. His open mouth swallowing the short sword until bursts free of his throat and cuts him open. The other one is squashed by the heavy frames of the others and breaks bone like twigs snapping.

The four, lick their wounds, not literally, pausing a moment to reload pistols and check the noise hasn't alerted other tribesmen. Giving the bodies a quick search you find some forest food staples like berries and nuts, each had a stone knife and rustic spear. Simple dressed in cotton jerkins. Each of the three have some jewellery. One has a large conch shell, very smooth and clean, smelling of the salty sea. Another has a necklace with a long thin mollusc type shell on a string of animal teeth, the third carries a carved wooden smoking pipe and pouch of leaf tobacco.

Iggway and Pocc continue with their healing and investigations in the Sisters Manse. Each realising that the island holds more than a few surprises. The manse is itself attacked by a few natives who rattle the window frames with their spears causing more noise and alert than actual damage. But the effect is certainly to arouse the upset of the children and women in the bedrooms who begin to cry and sob.

a noise is heard as Zoggrot tumbles from his hiding place behind the Infirmary chimney stack. Maybe a loose tile affecting his footing.
Zoggrot waits silently until the moment is right, when he can strike from behind.
trying to sneak across the roof to get an advantage on the 'bonehead' sneaking up and around the unguarded north side. The fall surprises Zoggrot who lands a several feet away from bonehead outside the plaza compound. For a moment they just look at each other. The bonehead acts first during this surprise and casts a spear at the prone half-orc but it flies wide ineffectually. bonehead shaman [1d20+1] = 8+1 = 9 damage [1d6] = 3

Elijah in the chapel, assesses the intent of the natives and looks for likely targets that the natives could steal away, (the children, the women...?), Geoffrey has success on the turkey shoot sniping a native warrior in the heart, plum dead centre, dead literally. The other natives see him leaning out of the tower and reply by throwing javelins at him, the sharp stone headed spears clattering with a ding and dong after striking the bell. native spear attack on belfry [1d20] = 10 [1d20] = 8 [1d20] = 7

Captain Lazarus reloads his pistols and commends Grimwald and Goldie to push back any breach of the grain sack wall. A fierce melee ensues with the natives reaching over the barricade to hack and poke the men folk and the farmers fending them off with hoes.

Elijah Crowthorne, sea priest:

"Where's that blasted boy!" the profane prophet growls.

Noticing the locked trapdoor behind the altar, he says, "Sisters, be there a cellar for ye ta hide in?"

Spearmint, is the font of tribal origin small enough to be moved? Thanks.

Siggard is glad to have been able to save the party from being skewered and boiled, though he is not fond of killing innocent tribesmen.

"We wont make friends with the natives this way. Let's get going and try to avoid any more situations like this one."

He does not take part in the looting of the men, instead concentrating on showing his damn monkey how to load a pistol for the 300th time.

Holden is immediately drawn in to the wooden pipe and tobacco pouch, he takes it in his hand admiring it, "It has been ages since I smoked one of these, ahhh this brings back memories", oblivious to the world around him he almost starts smoking before hearing Siggard speak. He rejoins the world of the living and gets his bearings back. He mimics Elijah in a praying stance to the corpses, "Innocent is a fairly broad statement, I met a person once who told me, 'All men are guilty of something', I do not agree with him but to assume that these men were innocent is a bit too presumptuous especially since their tribe did kidnapped a woman!", Holden doesn't say it in a challenging or a condescending way, he says it as if he is simply musing on the concept of innocence.

He pockets the pipe and moves ahead with the trek.

Rexlin

Groans angrily, and looks for something to bandage his leg with. "Damn pig sticker got me... Good work there Siggard. That was a tough spot, and you did it right. Thanks for saving our hides." He will try to find some leaves or something to bandage his wound with.

He reloads his pistol and checks his musket before retreiving his scimetar. Wincing a little as he puts weight on his leg and hopes it won't slow him down. If no one else claims one of the daggers he will take at least one, and certainly not leave any there. Also, if no one claims any of the spears he will break them before tossing them away into the brush.

Zoggrot curses himself for his clumsiness. Lowering himself into a crouch, he draws his cutlass and lunges at the shaman.

Cutlass (THAC0 20): [1d20+1] = 14+1 = 15. Dmg: [1d6+3] = 1+3 = 4/[1d8+3] = 7+3 = 10 (SM/L)
