yes we surely have. I should have awarded some XP for a year long RPG but forgot. Will do that in the next sloop downtime.

Does exceptional strength affect the roll at all?You will need a stronger force to either split the shell open completely(make a damage roll, no 'to hit' necessary), or lever the chisels under the clams to break their suction grasp. (make a very difficult [5d6] strength check for each one you try.)

exceptional strength can go to [5d6-strength modifier bonus]. The limpets are the size of dustbin lids so to prise them away just using a chisel to get underneath one of the shell rims and lever it away is not going to be easy. Maybe a larger crowbar or a spear to give more leverage will help [4d6]. Using a hammer underwater is akin to trying to crack a coconut with a spoon, the water takes away most of the force of strength to bludgeon open the shells. Animals which may hunt limpets, such a squid have a terrible vice like jaw so they can clamp on the shells and squeeze with a lot of pressure to crack them open. You don't have that brute strength, still a group of three together did release one of them so over time you will succeed but you are not sure how fast the saw tooth limpets are grinding through the hull.

Rexlin throws Face at the whale. "Eat up, Charlie!"Fishy responds,"It should be Elijah as a prophet of doom. You're a convert Rex, do something. Make an offering quickly!"

I will get folks to conclude their shopping trips and then move to a group thread and a choice of exploration and discovery.
Re: Parley...OOC chat and questions for player characters.
Hello Folks and thanks for playing and staying in the game over this last year. Let me wish you all a truly Happy Christmas and Happy new Year.
My own posting might be infrequent until after Christmas as I have a horse in racing on Boxing Day and depending on the horse I might have some beef T-bone steak for new years or a bit of Brown Eyes' Blue's rump.
I will bring the group together from their shopping trips and into a group excursion for the next scenario.
Cheers,
Kris

Re: Parley...OOC chat and questions for player characters.
apologises for my slow or even none posting. I am actually quite ill with some form of bronchial pneumonia (brought on by wet windy conditions in the stables). I might have to take an extended rest and if it clogs my lungs up further even go on a more drastic way to drain phlegm from my lungs. I might have to take some rest which could restrict me over the next two or three weeks, so bare with me.
I shall get up to date and out of bed soon. thanks for the concerned PM's.
cheers Kris
