One prisoners stands defiant, "Would you talk? So neither will I "he says turning his back."Shoot me if you must."

The other pair are less convinced than their comrade and kneel surrendered. "We are just conscripts Sir, honest. Family men like you."

roll a [3d6-3] vs your charisma.

Grins. "Do i look like a family man?" Keeps in mind which one is brave to tell the captain since he must have something to hide. "Mr. Simonson, sir! We have one volunteering to be shot. Reckon we should hang him up by his thumbs and let us have a look at what Ineriam bravery looks like when we field dress him like a pig?"

Geoffrey, still in excruciating pain and not wanting to get near a living, breathing foe if he can avoid it, starts going through the possessions of the dead, laying claim for their valuables ( in the name of the Captain, of course)...

Rexlin intimidates the prisoners, one resigned to a grisly fate asks for a last cigarette. Tariks' late arriving men want to step in but a stern look from the mage and Guillaume quickly silence them. They get assigned to dealing with the dead bodies.

Geoffrey , of Breton blood, does the honourable thing and....starts looting the dead like a buccaneer of experience.

Iggway, searches the cottage. The Jaguar headdress going bobbing through rooms like a prowling predator sniffing out prey.

The mage converses with the Captain and after a short rest and the retrieval of the ferry pull ropes, the wagon is loaded once more, prisoners tied roughly behind to drag along if they fall. Next stop: Tariks' encampment.

Loot, the Iberians, stripped and searched. They have a total of 160sp and 220gp (Iberian currency). This is requisitioned as party trove under your T&C's,

The officer had a fine scroll case with a vellum map of the islands and certain nautical information on it. The scroll case appears of a water tight design and lined with sea sponge interior, the opening made of a flush shell which opens like a lid but closes tightly with clam like suction. It is cylindrical, maybe four inches by eighteen long. It could hold a couple of scrolls, depending on their thickness.

Iggway the case is given to you, though the sloop officers take the map to study further in case it pinpoints where brings may be anchored.

The dead officer also had a nice beechwood stock Dragoon pistol. Iron barrelled with bronze plate decorative fittings. A leather pouch of bronzed shot and fine grain musket powder complete a nice trophy.Rexlin this is yours.

Geoff among the loot, one of the men you killed carried a nice small silver portrait frame. The picture shows a woman and babe, in the back of the picture a name and address in Santo Domingo, a large Iberian city. Another has a holy book, no spells but lovely hand scripted Psalms and poems. It has a hard bound leather exterior and is embossed with several motifs. While not armaments they could sell nicely to the right buyers

Inside the cottage, among the mess you find a bucket of papers, freshly burned. They are smouldering ashes and faintly carry an Iberian colonial seal. It is evident that in the final battle throes, the guys upstairs burned evidence if orders and the last pistol shot himself through the roof of his mouth. Guillaume gives this to the mage for they also may use pistols.

A box, found in one marines bag contains three small vials of liquid. All the same, two are full, one half empty. You will need to identify them or sip them with some trial and error method.

You can take a musket each if you wish, both sides having similar designed arms. All the other weapons will be stored by Tariks' men. If you wish to search in a specific location or ask something do that as you next action and then we will proceed from the ferry crossing.

Iggway will cast her healing touch on whoever is hurt more, Geoffrey or Cravat. She will also help tend to the hurt, give last rights and bless those that are dead. Once they reach their actual destination, Iggy would like to find a spot to pray to Yanauluah for his faith in her abilities and his protectiveness over her as a shaman.

Do we have to account for the t&c on the non currency loot?
Also, how does the currency get divided? Captain gets 20 shares, we each get 1, correct? or does it go back to the ship and divided among all crew?

I guess the feeling is the ship needs repairing and the gold may go into the coffers to cover that. The scroll case, bronze plated pistol and silver portrait frame are worth more as your share than adding it to the pot and dividing the value by 10.

The Captain is happy to pass the vials to the shaman to study or use if you can identify them. You could also try asking the prisoners of course. ;)

In terms of the 'share' that each person gets. That happens when the Captain decides to split the trove, usually after a successful campaign or a raid on a specific base. So that could be weeks or months from now. Part of the campaign will be to drum up trade, create contacts and explore trade options. Negotiate business deals, etc. Not many pirates survived just on raiding other ships unless they were big powerful vessels. The McGregors' Revenge is a sloop designed for hit and run tactics not broadside naval warfare.

Yanauluah obviously listens to his acolyte and restores 8hp to Cravat, Geoffreys, severely wounded can still limp along and may find healing available in the camp of the former rebellious slave, Djebel Tarik.

So we DO get to keep those items without accounting for them as part of t&c shares?
ie, Geoffrey gets the frame? Who would get the book?

Geoffrey, you may take the silver frame and leather bound book. They come from the people you killed. You can do with them as you wish and may take a weapon/musket from those recovered. Unless folk give me a specific instead of general action I will roll for folk doing a casual search. For example, Iggway guts the eels and searches through the salt barrels may find more than Iggway generally searching the kitchen.

Perfect... thanks... just wanted to know how to account on char sheet.

Geoffrey pockets the silver frame and the book. He also takes a musket with whatever powder pack he can find to accompany it.

Rexlin "Devil's Scowl" Dupre

He gives a beastly smile when he is officially awarded not only the musket, but the prize pistol and shot as well. The others can easily tell he is truly overjoyed. He makes quick work of securing the gear to his person and holds up his musket saluting smartly. "Sir! Thank you, Captain, Sir!"

He eagerly takes up a spot at the back of the wagon with his musket leveled at the prisoners, grinning with a devilish michevity at the prisoners, letting the baronet as well as the loaded barrel hover just out of their reach, his eyes daring them to give him an excuse to squeeze the trigger. He appears to take some pleasure in tormenting the Iberians.

ooc: what encumbrance do we charge ourselves for the firearms, powder, and shot?

Iggway is saddened by the way these items had to be obtained. Why do people hate so much! Yet she is delighted to receive the scroll case and 2.5 liquid vials, she will pray to Yanauluah for identifying the vials. Thank you Cap'n, I will need to determine if liquid help or hurt before drinking them. The scroll case is good, made of nature. Were any of you able to read the burned papers? I am guessing orders to kill us? Cap'n. She nods to him.

Iggy then says to Geoff...Maybe you'd like to drink half vile, then we'd know if it were for healing?? She smiles wickedly at him.

encumbrance and weights: add to weapons and armour notes, though because this isn't a dungeon crawl , unless you are swimming I am bypassing totting up weights. A suit of armour, couple of weapons and daysack will keep you at a good enough rate to get anywhere on ship without issue.

Musket 9lbs. Powder and shot 1lb per 20 muskets balls, pistols weigh up to 2lbs.

The ferry is pulled and oared across the wide bay. The coral reefs on the eastern side rise high to poke out if the waters here thus providing a barrier against the ocean swell enabling passage across. In high winter tires and strong winds you would guess the ferry raft us safer staying moored.

East Caicos island is probable a little more than 35 miles square, the highest point being a ridge of wooded hills on the west which slope down in flowing waves to the middle of the island which is covered in a huge mangrove swamp. The well worn track bisecting dark copses of bent and strangely angled trees. You pass through in silence, watching over the wounded men who leak copious amounts of blood onto the wagon floor. A wine skin is passed around and then a few testimonies get shared, "I gut him like a pig, Geoff danced with two of them he's a real flashing blade, Rex deadeyed that officer bloke from all of hundred yards, reckon it was that shaman witch who caused that choking cloud to suffocate them, better watch her she'll suffocate you, yeah and wear your head instead of a leopard..." the mixed boastings rouse the crew and ponies who criss cross muddy paths until the far northern shore is reached.

Across a creek, overlooked by several fortified cannon emplacements is a large semi permanent camp. Mud and stone built huts mixing with colourful framed marquee's and yurt type thick skinned tents. Campfires and the smell of freshly roasting hogs waft across the creek. A jetty and several boats await to take folk across. Further down the creek off the embankment several large crocodiles watch proceedings from sludge beaches, hoping a tasty morsel drifts their way.

"You be invited to feast with them," mocks a marine to the Iberian prisoners.

Crossing the creek, the men of the McGregor are greeted. Looking at the injured the scholar envoy of Tarik' directs the wagon to a side hut with the markings of a place if healing. Geoffrey, Cravat and a marine are directed there for further aid. Iggway you may go if you wish though the man Guillaume says they will be looked after fine. He departs the group.

Rex, shouldering a musket and marine Cobb, make for a bedraggled guard to Mr Simonsen and Captain Lazarus who enter a guarded marquee. You both carry a small chest, heavy it jingles with coins. Belly dancers and snake charmers play in front of a cushioned banquet. Maybe twenty folk are seated, possibly other Captains. Some have armed retinues standing behind them.

Djebel Tarik' rises to greet Lazarus, who is seated at the same long bench. A large man sized ape is chained to a post behind him. It growls viciously and hoots pulling at the metal reins and shimmies up and down a much gnawed pole.

"Welcome, merharba, bienvenue, please be my guests." He takes a whispered report from the mage, frowning as he learns of the commando raid upon the ferry.

Geoffrey you are taken to a tented infirmary. Your wounds are redressed and you are stripped and covered in a thick paste of mud and green stinking herbs. You are told to lie still and let them work. It sets in the sun like a heavy cast over your leg and chest. Immobilized for a few hours (4), while the 'Hurtloam' works d4 healing. You may break the cast at any time but only receive the healing after the rest.

Rexlin promoted to chaperone the Captain and Mr Simonsen, after an initial period standing you are also dismissed and may wander the camp with Cobb

Iggway, you are introduced to Djebel Tarik. Your request for aid being the reason the McG sails NW through these islands.

Okay, so give me please any actions, questions or stuff you might want to do, say, notice during your first encounter at the encampment.

Geoffrey remains somewhat uncomfortable, but forces himself to relax with the assumption that they wouldnt heal him to kill him. He quietly lets the four hours pass, hoping to regain as much health as he can.

Geoffrey thanks the healers, and cleans up best he can.
He will walk out and check in to see if he is expected to take his turn as a guard for his captain. If he is clear for leave, he will walk around looking for grub and gossip.

Rexlin "Devil's Scowl" Dupre

The old soldier is feeling pretty good about himself right now. Got to fight some Iberians, and as he reflected on it all realized he killed four all together. Caught one in the throat for the marine that dropped the musket he now calls his own. Caved in the skull of the one named "Lucky" in his own mind, he grins still finding that mildly amusing. Then zeroed in on that officer... Ba-Bang! His grin widens slightly patting the piston on his hip. He is sure that was the shot that got him his little promotion. Got to skewer the last one too, he was a little sore from that particular fight, but overall it was a damn good day and he was feeling great. Nothing like a good fight to leave a man feeling like he accomplished something. Now that he thought about the last few days, he realized this had gotten rather eventful in a very short amount of time. After they had to off the dwarf, he was sure he would be keelhauled or at least have to walk the gauntlet. Still, it was also the quickest he had ever moved up the ranks, so he didn't dwell too much.

Once he is dismissed from guard duty with the Captain and Mr. S. He snaps a proper salute "I won't go far, Sirs, in case there is need of me," And with that said he puts a hand on Cobb's shoulder as they turn. "Here's my thinkin... Mr. Blood did one hell of a job in that fight. I think this is the first real time he ever really got hurt, too. The Lad has 3 kills so far since we left port. I say we find his something good and hot, and share a drink with the lad. He's earned it. Then when we are good and well in our drink, we find a few of these comely lasses scattered about and top off an otherwise perfect day. What do ya say?"

While scrounging up a meal he will also keep an eye out for anyone that might want to trade for a crossbow and bolt now that he considers himself "Properly" armed. Maybe he will learn something interesting amoungst all the hubub.

Geoffrey inquires of the herbs used to heal him, and how might he acquire such things. He asks as well,

Do you know why our party was attacked so deliberately? Something must be afoot for someone to go through that trouble.

He eventually runs into Rexlin and party t relay what he has found out.
