#1 Post by Bloodaxe »

Anyone see RPG boxes? Like the ones from the old D&D sets from the 80's & 90's. Ive looked in craft stores and havent seen anything like it.

I had that original red box set above. Still have everything but the box.

Those aren't the dice that came with mine, though. Mine were light blue and light yellow. And maybe haven't aged particularly well? One of them still has pencil marks in the numbers before I figured out what the white crayon was for.

I haven't seen any in any of my craft or office supply shops, other than those flimsy fold out paper tray boxes.

I found a thread on Dragonsfoot about it (link), and it seems the consensus there was that you have to mock them up yourself.

The thread links to two tutorials on Board Game Geek:

I have bought specialty printing paper from Office Depot (I think) that comes in boxes just about that same size. (maybe a bit less depth)

The paper is parchment colored and works great for printing pre-generated PC sheets that I use in my convention games.

I have never seen the boxes sold separately though, and the specialty paper is a bit expensive. :|

I will keep a lookout for such an item.
