Re: Happy Birthday!
Hope you had a great birthday, Mitch! Safe travels and good hiking!
Winter is coming...
Re: Happy Birthday!
Thank you all for the well wishes, had a totally rad hike out at Point Reyes. Weather was overcast but not too cold or windy & did 15.1 miles with 35lb backpack (still unencumbered BtB but my feet say otherwise! Couldn't imagine doing so in chainmail or better though!)
Oh snap...
Happy Birthday to Super DM Ron!!!

Re: Happy Birthday!
Incidentally, did you know today is also Wil Wheaton's birthday, Ron? Makes it that much better...Alethan wrote:Happy birthday, Ron!

Re: Happy Birthday!
Thanks guys!!
I enjoy Wil Wheaton a lot more now then when he was in TNG, though I really enjoyed Next Generation. It just doesn't live up to the Awesome that was the original Star Trek.
My group of friends use to videotape the show (heh, remember videotape) to watch it properly, with snacks and beer of course, all together. The episode (one of the Q ones I think) in which Wesley gets impaled and dies, my friend Dan wouldn't let us watch the end. Again beers might have been involved , he kept making me rewind that part and play it over again. He would say "we know he really isn't going to be dead in the end!" Too funny, good times!
That's just wrong to do to an Original Series guy... wrong!Alethan wrote:Incidentally, did you know today is also Wil Wheaton's birthday, Ron? Makes it that much better...

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Hey. maybe it's a Matrix-like thing. He's the negative to your positive and your destined to face each other in battle.rredmond wrote:Thanks guys!!That's just wrong to do to an Original Series guy... wrong!Alethan wrote:Incidentally, did you know today is also Wil Wheaton's birthday, Ron? Or maybe the date in question became so awesome due to Reddmond's birth that the Cosmic Balance had to spawn the evil that is Wil Wheaton on the same cycle to keep the universe in equilibrium...or vice versa.
So basically, the writing ability of whoever did TNG episodes is below what is AD&D GM tolerable level, circa 11 years old?rredmond wrote:My group of friends use to videotape the show (heh, remember videotape) to watch it properly, with snacks and beer of course, all together. "Oh you aren't dead, it was all just a dream."
"Luckily, you find a Rod of Resurrection on the next room..."
Etc...
And they pay people money to write that crap? Ah...America.
And who the F is Wil Weathon anyways? And what kind of drunk parents name their child such? There's two "L's" in "William" you dolts!

Happy Birthday Ron and Mitch! Hope you get some good gaming in...

Re: Happy Birthday!
Thank you, gentlemen!
My wife spoils me more than I deserve. Lots of family came in from out of town to hang out with us. Had dinner at Medieval Times last night, and got to play some D&D (Labyrinth Lord) with my four oldest nephews. Always a treat.

Happy birthday, onlyme. Hope you have a better day than Ewell.
Re: Happy Birthday!
Ewell is too young to know what a bad day is.
But thanks. And that gift wrapped lance laying in the tunnel was a nice surprise.
