Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Maybe I'm being too thin-skinned, and it is NOT a big issue, but it is tiring to face as much passive or subtle jabs over something as simple as a different edition of a game.
Dave.....
I would have done this sooner, but I was under the impression that you were also joking when you posted your first comment. (maybe because other mods and long time players had already laughed about my comment)
Please accept my most humble and sincere apology if my comment offended or upset you personally in any way. That was definitely not my intention!
I played 5E for over a year in a weekly campaign, and was in Gary's 5E game on here as well, so please rest assured that I do not hate the system nor am I out to belittle anyone who enjoys it.
If you took my comment about the differing character generation mechanics between editions as a personal "jab" about your specific game on here, I guess there isn't much I can do about that. But if it upset you as much as you last post indicates, I will try my hardest to never make another comment or comparison about it on here.
I know how passionate you are about your games, (you might remember that you and I have played together on here before, a lot, actually) and I hope this unfortunate misunderstanding doesn't cause you any further grief.
I also apologize to everyone who is reading this expecting to see a few "Ha-Ha's" worth. That irony is not lost on me.

I was under the same misunderstanding OM. I honestly thought that Dave forgot a smiley or something. No worries, a Mod brought your post to the Ha-Ha thread, not you.OGRE MAGE wrote:I would have done this sooner, but I was under the impression that you were also joking when you posted your first comment.
But yes, back to the hah hahs, and [Ron looks up].... oh boy Ed....

Thanks Ron!
I am all for getting back to the topic at hand.
I don't normally post stuff in this thread, but I had a player post something recently that made me literally lol.

I thought there was a thread for classic quotes like this, but I couldn't find it.Jernau35 wrote:Wes

Man, this was three years ago:

I've had lots of fun moments on this board, and this one was near the top of all of them.

Good times! Dorvar may not have won the drinking contest, but he did end up becoming immune from the effects of alcohol poisoning, so he had that going for him. Nothing like a dwarf that can drink 'til the kegs are dry and never have to worry about a hangover!

I got a free cat in the box with this purchase but I'm not sure if I should open it to see if the cat is ok.
