That comic is awesome!
Right! I found Dark Dungeons at a gas station in Georgia along with several other 'informative' comics (all available from a convenient carousel near the door). Circa 1988.

I send DD and the one about Rock/Heavy Metal music back to my little brother in Wisconsin, so he could get a good laugh. I can understand why some might see Motley Crue as 'Satanic', but Elvis and the Beatles?

I love Pendragon!
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Anyone old enough to remember these good times? ;)
Dark Dungeons creator, Jack Chick has died.

Anyone have "Animate Dead" memorized?

I'm still waiting for those magic powers he promised I'd get.

I can't even cast a Light spell!

I remember the scare. I used supermarket brown paper bags to make book jackets over my rule books.

My parents didn't care, and I had friends I played D&D with whose parents had no problem with the game, but their grandparents thought it was evil. I had another friend whose parents didn't want them playing, but we never played at their house and they just used our books and played at my house. Fortunately, none of us had to get rid of anything.

Yeah, I don't know where these unsubstantiated charges of satanism came from! ;)

Kask must be happily regaling the Holmses with an account of his most recent TPK.
