Old School Goodness to Share
Re: Old School Goodness to Share
Dragonbone sounds like the name of a 70s experimental rock band that mainly does porno soundtracks.

I'd watch those films.

Speaking of old school....
OD&D Dungeons & Dragons Original Edition (0e)
OD&D Dungeons & Dragons Original Edition (0e)
I'm not sure I would ever play this edition, but I'm tempted to buy it eventually because... well, just because. #respectDriveThruRPG.com wrote:"First published in January 1974, the original edition rules of Dungeons & Dragons would go on to see six different printings. This edition is for the Original Collector's Edition released By Wizards of the Coast in 2013, which was itself a revision of the 6th and final printing, the "Original Collector’s Edition" or white box edition.
You get all three books contained in the original boxed set: Men & Magic, Monsters & Treasure, and Underworld & Wilderness Adventures plus the Reference Sheets booklet.
Great to read and still great to play, the original edition shows you where the roleplaying hobby began and the original version of the game that spawned a hobby and so much more."
Re: Old School Goodness to Share
I played it. It rocks. I prefer 1E but 0E is my second favorite.
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Re: Old School Goodness to Share
Huh. Anyone happen to know what was 'revised' for the WotC reprint?DriveThruRPG.com wrote:This edition is for the Original Collector's Edition released By Wizards of the Coast in 2013, which was itself a revision of the 6th and final printing, the "Original Collector’s Edition" or white box edition.
Re: Old School Goodness to Share
I recall seeing a few threads on the topic when it happened, but my understanding is that it's very little--basically correcting typos and ensuring the text is readable. Side-by-side comparisons I saw didn't show much difference, really.

LARP in British castle? I would have totally done that. Hell, I'd be intrigued now!
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

I remember that time. I put brown paper supermarket bag covers on my rule books when I brought them to school so the nuns at our catholic school wouldn't hassle us. I hadn't seen that video. I am tempted to toss some pages into a fire to see if they scream.
