Unseen Servant Press publishes its first adventure

#1 Post by ToniXX »

So it's official: The Unseen Servant Press has published its first adventure: The Peril of Ardun - Incursion into Newiron
Go here for more info and to purchase with PayPal: http://press.unseenservant.us/

Here's a shot of what you get: Adventure with separate cover and great art and a player handout of the local area.

Adventure description:
“The Tûran tribes on the high steeps of eastern Tibbenlan have banded together and are on the offensive! They call themselves The Order of the Red Blade, and are moving east, recruiting or enslaving humanoid and human tribes as they go. The Order has entered the territory of Fallmeade, and threatens to occupy its capital, Clydwyn.

You find yourself in the mining town of Craldash, in central Ardun, a country to the south of Fallmeade, just beyond the Oktan Mountains. You are approached by a representative of the local governor who says her employer is looking for a stout party of adventurers to help him with a little problem.

Her contacts have reported some unusual activity near an old abandoned temple to the west. A garrison of Red Blade soldiers has entered the temple grounds and set up shop. The governor would like the garrison removed or at least run off, along with any other information you can find. Are you up to the task?”

Looks great!
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Congratulations on this indeed, Greg! The maps and artwork look fantastic! 8-)

It looks great and although I want to head over and buy it straight away, I wouldn't be able to open or read through it as it seems that you're currently running us through it on your PbP. I would hate to accidentally discover something that would give away potentially important facts or clues above game, so I will have to let it sit unmolested on the game shelf! :geek:

So curious, how long did it take for you to get this done, to print and out for sale?

Tanik Tremwoodak: Dwarf Cleric3 (Dave's 1e Skype Game)

DM: home-brew OSRIC "A New Hope to the West" campaign

Fireball... good!!

"What's it gonna take?"
"Everything."

Thanks, all.

Well, I started it probably three years ago, and it would sit for long periods of time. Then my wife finally said 'when the hell are you going to release your adventure?' She kept shaming me until I finally put the polishing touches on it and got it printed. Combined time to write, make the maps and layout the text probably took 4 months.

Hahahaha I guess I've already given some away!

That is actually a very short turn-around, not counting the in-between breaks. I'd be embarrassed to admit how many writing and game development stuff that I've started and are still just sitting there (and how long!). I've always been impressed with your maps and the amount of campaign region detail that you've used in your pbp. Good stuff, that! 8-)

Yes, well, we had kinda suspected some such eventuality, especially with that foreboding warning about not going down into the crypt... :D

That looks great. Congrats. And best of luck in the revenue department...

And shouldn't room 14 have a picture of lots of gold and jewelry sitting around? :)

Are those of us playing in the PbP allowed to buy it?

Is there a PDF release coming? :)

LOL! Of course you can buy it, you just can't LOOK at it! :)

I wasn't planning on a PDF but maybe I will in the near future.

Sending out five orders today. Thanks to all who've bought so far.

No, but I assume it may take upwards of two weeks.
