I'm still missing a character sheet from ybn1197, and haven't reviewed any of the others, but figured it would be safe to at least set the scene and kick things off.

Good luck!

I'll admit to not reviewing the character backgrounds before coming up with the opening scenario, but I can easily see how the story you came up with would mesh with the game setup -- her father previously attacked a royal, so when the latest attempt on the local bailiff happened, she was automatically a prime suspect and was rounded up.

We can definitely make it work, even her working on the fringes of society. And it could have easily been Mila that had familiarity with or knowledge of the Forest of Balim, where you guys are contemplating entering.

I'll gladly work with players that want a more customized introduction, but it's really just a way to kick off the game and establish their current situation (while cutting them off from assistance and forcing their hands as adventurers.

Maybe she's not a part of the "clique". We bump into her in the woods. She's running for a different reason.

And her fingernails are crusted with blood...

This could work, too. It really doesn't matter to me.

Sorry for arriving to the party late but my character is now posted. Just need to come up with a quick back story.

Backstory isn't necessary; I think Dave's given us plenty to go off of. We are all acquaintances or friends who have been booted from our village and we've never left the village before.

I say we act as if we're all friends and just go forward from there...

I got caught up on the Prelude after I posted that and realized there wasn't a real need. Thanks.

I did kind of dictate at least the immediate backstory for everyone to kick the game off.

You all lived in the same place small manor, and knew each other. Then, even though the accusations were proven to be false, you've been banished and are forced to begin an adventuring career. Or, at least a temporarily nomadic one. If you'd like to create a "what happened before..." story for your character, feel free, but don't feel obligated to do so.

Hi Dave! Thanks for finding me a spot :)

I'll just play Rainey if that's cool. He sort of sucks, stat-wise, but I've learned that that doesn't mean he's bad off or anything.

Of course, man. It's good to have you back.

I'm running of to a meeting at my kids school, so I won't be able to get your character sheet moved over until later, but feel free to jump right into the action.

Rainey has been moved back to the roster.

Again, feel free to jump right in as if Rainey has been with the group the whole time.

Things have been active today, since I've had the day off from work, and while I don't expect for this pace to continue, I do suspect this might turn into a daily post game. I might need to miss a day or two at times, but I'm excited to be back, and about this game, so I'm sure I'm going to try to find time for it each day.

I've noticed that I'm the only player running two characters. If it would make it easier to run the game, I'd be happy to put either Keebler or Tippin on the backup shelf.

You're fine.

It's less the number of characters than it is players. Eight is my max, which is where we are, but as long as everyone checks in and I'm not left waiting for a response or two after every update, we'll be fine.

You declare your actions, but I will make these rolls.

Also, while I see the rolls made during character generation, here, I do not see these. Please make sure all rolls are made using a macro on your character, which is linked to the campaign.

Dave, I think he was just posting what his skill levels were in MS and HS. No rolls made.

Dave, sorry for the confusion but Alethan is right. I posted my skill levels for you so you wouldn't have to flip around to find them.
