OOC I
Re: OOC I
Technically, I guess your new character was never posted, so I'll let this slide.Zhym wrote:To save time, I think I'm going to run with Keebler and Tippin and put my new character on ice as a reserve if that's okay.
I've moved them both back over and updated the game threads accordingly.

Yeah, I forgot to select Junius on the dropdown before rolling. The roll_id falls in line in the correct order.Alethan wrote:You're missing your DEX reroll.onlyme wrote:ok. Junius had a remarkable rebirth over the past few months.

Nobody else can see Roll 109985 if it isn't tied to that campaign, though. We used to be able to see ALL rolls made on the dice roller, but Greg updated it a few years ago and now you can't. You can only see your characters' rolls and rolls associated with campaigns your characters are in.onlyme wrote:Yeah, I forgot to select Junius on the dropdown before rolling. I'll be running a cleric as well. Will work on fleshing it out later this weekend.
Re: OOC I
Perfect, as I still need character sheets from you and ybn1197. Please try to get them completed before Monday.Rusty Tincanne wrote:I'll be running a cleric as well. Will work on fleshing it out later this weekend.
I would like to have all sheets posted by Sunday night sometime so I have a chance to review them and make sure everything is squared away before kicking things off (hopefully) on Monday.

Re: OOC I
Can (and will) do. What sort of pantheon exists in the Dave-verse?
Re: OOC I
Honestly, I haven't developed this detail yet. For now, you're welcome to make up something on your own or, like I sometimes do, just play it as some vague entity (which might be the preferred option).Rusty Tincanne wrote:Can (and will) do. What sort of pantheon exists in the Dave-verse?
Most of my planning to date had been on the dungeon (which probably isn't a true"mega" dungeon), but I do plan on developing a somewhat realistic world for you guys to exist in when you're not dungeon diving. The church and religious details will get fleshed out once I shift my focus to this world development (which I kind of started last night).

Re: OOC I
She's a healer/midwife who worships the Mother, goddess of fertility, harvest, cooking and community. Carries a broom, which counts as quarterstaff, if that is okay.
My biggest problem is that I am filling her backpack with foodstuff and birthing supplies. Why would she be found adventuring though?
Edit: How much of a stickler are you for rations, etc. (I like the resource mgt aspects of RPGs, so I'm happy if it is strict). And what about animal companions (i.e. meat shields)? Allowable or no?

I love it -- no issues with any of that.Rusty Tincanne wrote:She's a healer/midwife who worships the Mother, goddess of fertility, harvest, cooking and community. Carries a broom, which counts as quarterstaff, if that is okay.
I'm working on a background that will take care of that. No worries, there.Rusty Tincanne wrote: My biggest problem is that I am filling her backpack with foodstuff and birthing supplies. Why would she be found adventuring though?

Heh... won't need more than five days or so if we keep our track record.Rusty Tincanne wrote: Edit: How much of a stickler are you for rations, etc. (I like the resource mgt aspects of RPGs, so I'm happy if it is strict).

Re: OOC I
That explains why our wizard only had one day of rations!
Re: OOC I
I like to run a fairly detailed game, so things like that count. Same with burn times on torches/lanterns, and having containers to actually carry any treasure you find out.Rusty Tincanne wrote:Edit: How much of a stickler are you for rations, etc. (I like the resource mgt aspects of RPGs, so I'm happy if it is strict). In fact, when it comes to details, I'm hoping to be able to bring some newfound (for me) realism into the world you'll be living in. So, yes, I suspect a fair amount of your time will be spent in a dungeon, but I'm hoping to make things interesting while you're on the outside as well.
As far as animal companions, I typically haven't allowed them to start a game, but don't have a problem with you guys picking them up in-game.
Re: OOC I
Actually, to clarify, my biggest issue is specifically towards mounts. If you wanted your character to invest in a donkey/mule or other beast of burden, or a dog, or a songbird... I wouldn't have an issue with that. The one thing I want to avoid, especially at the very beginning of a game, is for ONE character to have a horse while the other five or six characters don't. It just complicates group movement, and is a headache I don't want to deal with from the jump.dmw71 wrote:As far as animal companions, I typically haven't allowed them to start a game, but don't have a problem with you guys picking them up in-game.
Anything else I'd be willing to rule on a case-by-case basis.
