Clay apologizes for not entangling all the Sheldon's and then letting a few escape. i hope you are all alright.

Are any of you for at finding traps? The only Goblin I knew made it seem like the would be traps. If not, I'll go first and hope for the best. At least I can turn any skeletons that come out way.

Halfpint will quickly check the re-deaded skeletons for any weaponry, arrows, loot, etc.

The Grizzly Woman shrugs and explains that traps tend to flummox her.

'I expect we are safe from traps along this corridor though. If there were any those skeletons would have set them off,' she says. She prods the leafy area beyond the door with The Grizzly's Trunk before stepping in, just in case.

Halfpint takes a moment to search the remains of the skeletal dwarves. Shortbread stifles emotions with gruff harrumphing as he continues to look upon them. The skeletons were all clad in broken pieces of dwarven mail with iron banding - dwarven armoring is certainly of quality and could be repaired but these were not the best pieces, you'd imagine. You have nine sets. (35lbs each) They likewise carried dinged and rusted weapons - five axes, two shortswords, and two warhammers.

The group ponders the existence of traps in the entryway, each in turn relaying their lack of knowledge in such matters. Foxy urges them to not waste time when likelihood here is low. They light a lantern and descend the stairway just as the last of the sun disappears and full darkness begins to spread down the slopes behind them.

One flight down, they find an archway that leads to a derelict hallway. The hallway stretches past the lantern light both right and left. A series of heavy stone doors appear on the far wall at regular intervals, plain and unadorned. Several of the doors are pushed partially ajar, dirt spilling through the forced doorjambs. "That'd be the sun fields," explains Shortbread, "erosion filled in the field beds on the mountainside, which is what those doors show. It must be centuries since the dwarven field-keepers came this way to tend the patches." A quick look down the hallway in each direction with the lantern shows nothing of interest here besides dirt and ancient leaves.

You continue further down the stair, next locating an archway on the other side of the stairwell. A simple wooden door once hung here, now broken and hanging to the side in several pieces. The room beyond looks to have been a store room - torn seed sacks (long since eaten by rodents), farming tools like shovels and hoes, and other items of that ilk lie here haphazardly.

You hear the sound of goblins clearly now, the echo of yelling voices in their goblin tongue, organizing themselves on a level below you.

Halfpint quietly asks Shortbread, What are they yelling? Can you tell how the battle around front is going?

"Goblin chaos and madness," says Shortbread as he shakes his head. "I can't tell much with them all talking at once and echoing up this way. They're excited, and encouraging each other in this. They're going hunting, presumably for us. They're coming this way."

Clay looks around for a place to hide. It would be best to avoid conflict for now, I think. But if it comes to it, I can go ahead and lead them astray. Try and convince them it is only me. You would follow unmolested. Maybe.

"No one goes off alone Clay. We should let them pass, trouble now and it will alert guards deeper in. They can follow the tracks the fleeing skeletons down the hillside. Let us use the side rooms and make ready to dodge them or we leap out and surprise quickly."

If the goblins are being roused to attack or go hunting, it may be they will chase down the goblins and dwarves and leave via the palisade broken gates instead of through this rear entrance. I suggest taking a moment to shield ourselves in a couple of the ajar rooms and sneaking past the goblins when they go by. At least Honeysuckle in the first chamber will be a 'natural' reason why the room was breached.

Okay then. Quickly, into one of the sun fields. Clay will encourage everyone into a nearby sun fields, then do what he can to cover their tracks in the soil, making their disappearance.

The Grizzly Woman leads the bear into a sun field by the door and orders him to wait, then slips into hiding with the others.

The group leaves the storage room doorway, scurrying back up to the hallway of stone doors identified as entrances to the sun fields. The party moves into the hallway and pulls open the first two stone doors - a cascade of loose earth and stones pours into and partially blocks the hallway, the fields now filled-in to above the doorway's height. The narrow hallways are as far as you can go, and you hear the sound of excited goblin voices and low wolf-growling ascending the stairs towards you.

Roughly how many are coming? How long do we have?

If there is sufficient time, Clay will use 3 flasks of oil to coat the stairs (a good length of them), leaving a trail back to the group. When the goblins are sufficiently on the stairs, Ms. O'Hare can light it. The preference is to trap the goblins on this side of the fire, cutting off their retreat and the ability to alert more goblins.
If there isn't enough time... He would think of another, even more clever plan. Or not...

You can't tell how many. You know it is minutes, at most, not turns. Clay has enough time to pour his three flasks of oil over a very large area of stairs.

I need actions from others and I need positioning on the map.
