Expedition: Carchannoi/Goblin chieftainess' dungeon - 24 May

Re: Expedition: Carchannoi/Goblin chieftainess' dungeon - 24
Tyrrell heals both of them by the grace of Baudh, then they discuss a way ahead, concoting their plan.
Carchannoi makes his way to the doorway, seeing Tog outside chatting amiably with the three other goblins. While they're distracted from his actions he picks the two more likely goblins and casts his Charm spells.
Emerging from the room, he finds both of them friendly. Fiztee and Izzibatink are their names; both are impressive in their size and health (for goblins) and also seem intelligent, both speaking Common like Tog. The third goblin is a shrunken runt with almost no meat on his limbs. He remains indifferent to you and continues sitting and staring studiously at the locked trap door.
With three friendly goblin companions, you ask about where your gear is. This causes an extended tale with the pair of new friends interrupting and correcting each other. What is clear is that your items were taken and distributed. Then your nicer items were taken, and taken again, and taken again... they must surely be held by the chiefs upstairs now. Your clothing, however, is tosses here in the next room, and they return it to you. Your rations are eaten, your bedrolls, oil and torches are likely untraceable. Tyrrell finds his Book of Common Prayer and Doctrinal Statutes with most pages torn out... then notices some near the midden hole. Carchannoi finds his scroll case and writing supplies. Your weapons, spell books, and other items are not found here.
If you don't mind posting a list of other items which you hope to recover from your sheet, please.

Tyrrell
Dresses, in his epaulette jacket, gloss boots and creased ( not neat creased but tossed pile creased) trousers.
"My helm?" he asks, ( probably more than anything elsd, even a magic shield or weapon, his shiny plumed helm is a symbol of church authority).
Tyrrell maintains a certain disposition, these goblins, charmed are Charchannois' new friends. They may not be so chummy with him. He expects stuff such as lantern, oils, foods to be gone. He didn't have much anyway. Armour and weapons, too big for goblins to wear, are they kept somewhere? Holy symbol?

Re: Expedition: Carchannoi/Goblin chieftainess' dungeon - 24

- Book of Common Prayer and Doctrinal Statutes (missing pages)
- Smooth river pebbles & sling, metal three-piece hooked coat hangar
Carchannoi:
- Normal clothing
- Parchment, sheet
- Case, map or scroll
- Quill pen
- Ink (1 oz. vial)
Items being pursued:

- heavy flail
- Gaeron's chainmail
- Raven sigiled dwarven shield
- Light Throwing Hammer
Carchannoi:
- magic longbow
- studded leather
- spellbook
- magic warhammer
Right?
Your magical ring, Tog tells you, was taken by a crazed goblin who accosted you for it in the dungeons. It did not ascend with you. She states the same fate for all your coin. Likewise, you have come to know goblins well enough to expect your chance of getting easily-concealable gems back is virtually nil.
The other goblins indicate that such fine items will likely be in the hands of the Bosses now. You can approach Guhra directly and those in her chamber. You can approach the warg riders in the outer chambers. You can approach Bizlenik the Wise, who has a chamber in the middle levels of the tower. Those three are the ones with strength/power to hold your finest goods.
How do you begin?

Re: Expedition: Carchannoi/Goblin chieftainess' dungeon - 24
Suggest we descend with our new charmed associates into the depths once more. Our deliverance (and treasure) is found below not above with these goblins.
Besides Baudh shall be my shield, my breastplate, my sword, says Tyrrell ( though not convincingly).
He will follow Charchannois' decision as he is the one with relationship to the goblins.

Re: Expedition: Carchannoi/Goblin chieftainess' dungeon - 24
Carchannoi suggests to approach Bizlenik: he doesn't know Bizelnik, but a wise goblin might be a frail goblin. Guhra he has under a charm, but even charmed she is difficult.

Tyrrell
"Okay, let us knock on this sages' door."
Tyrrell cleans his uniform with a cloth, straightening the collar and spit polishing the buckles. He will follow Charchannoi.
"What if these?" he whispers, indicating the three hellpit guards.

Re: Expedition: Carchannoi/Goblin chieftainess' dungeon - 24
The scrawny guard remains watching the trapdoor feebly and alone as the other two join Tog in scurrying up the staircase after the pair of you. You arrive at the door they indicate for the Sage. You knock. A voice calls from within, sharply. The three goblins answer, going back and forth, then open the door and point you in. "He wants no visitors. We said you are important bigguns an' he has no choice," they tell you, grinning.
You see a room filled with miscellaneous oddities, the occasional books, a few scrolls. An old but sharp-eyed goblin scowls at you, wary.

Tyrrell
"Please sage Bizlenik, go about your studies, we mean not to disturb you, save for a short interlude. Elder Charchannoi and I appear to have mislaid books and papers which may be in your possession for safe keeping. Will you return them now?"
Tyrrell will look around the room and take a lighted torch from a sconce or a burning log from the fire is one is present.

Re: Expedition: Carchannoi/Goblin chieftainess' dungeon - 24
While most of the tower is dark, this room does indeed have several lit torches (infravision being ineffective for reading). You pluck one of the torches from a sconce and hold it.
I'll hold for Carchannoi's post, too. You'll need to make a persuasive offer (just asking for it is counter to the greedy nature of a goblin) and then roll a 4d6 CHA check.

Re: Expedition: Carchannoi/Goblin chieftainess' dungeon - 24
hard charisma check [4d6] = 12 vs 11 charisma
but Tyrrell can be very clumsy in a library with a lit torch if Bizlenik needs extra persuasion....

Re: Expedition: Carchannoi/Goblin chieftainess' dungeon - 24
Carchannoi stands silently, waiting for Bizlenik's reaction.
Re: Expedition: Carchannoi/Goblin chieftainess' dungeon - 24
Tyrrell demands the return of their property for free, then threatens Bizilnik's collection with his torch while Carchannoi watches for the reaction.
No stranger to treachery and threats, Bizilnik responds with a few clipped words in his harsh tongue, pointing at Tyrrell.
Tyrrell save vs spell [1d20] = 13
Carchannoi sees Tyrrell's eyes replaced by orbs of swirling blackness; Tyrrell's vision abruptly goes dark and he is effectively blind (-4 to hit).
Bizilnik yells, likely for aid. Your three companions look confused, their eyes going to Carchannoi for orders.

Tyrrell,
Enraged at being assaulted he calls out to Bizelnik, "How dare you assault an envoy of the Dukes' Bishop." He waves his hands and intones a spell also, casting Command abd ordering the mage to "Autofellate."...

Re: Expedition: Carchannoi/Goblin chieftainess' dungeon - 24
Struck blind by the magical darkness, Tyrrell retaliates, calling upon the power of Baudh to force the goblin to 'autofellate.'
Really?
The goblin sage continues yelling for help unaffected. Carchannoi is frozen for the moment as spells criss-cross the room, turning with his charmed retainers to face three goblins in the stairwell, coming to aid the screaming Bizzlenik.
Actions!
We'll advance that far and give time for Carchannoi to reply over the holidays.

Carchannoi, hardly preventing himself from doubling over laughing, looks about: is there a window in the room?
Re: Expedition: Carchannoi/Goblin chieftainess' dungeon - 24
Yes, it has a narrow slit window letting in the slanting evening sunlight, similar to the chamber where you woke earlier. It all has the torch he'd by Tyrrell.
Re: Expedition: Carchannoi/Goblin chieftainess' dungeon - 24
Well, that isn't wide enough to escape through...Carchannoi demands his retainers to face the three goblins.

(I'll hold for Tyrrell's action.)
