People seem to be assuming that we can sell a magic item. Is there any way to do so, short of finding another PC who wants to buy it?

I don't understand why we're still arguing about this, though. If we donate the +1 shield for XP split evenly, everyone gets about 8000 xp except for Fingers and Allmond, for whom it is impossible to know what they're getting. It seems like an awful lot of effort to redistribute things because the only other item Fingers might possibly be able to use and the staff no one but Allmond wants might be worth enough that the people who get them end up with more than 8000 xp in exchange for the risk that the items are worth less.

Let's stop nitpicking and move on.

Yeah, that works for me. How you had it divided up is fine. I'll not say no to the XP.

Okay, that's a majority, so I'm updating Fingers's sheet.

The orb looks like it's a crystal ball of some sort, so Fingers is going to try to use it to entice some MU or elf to come along.* He'll even try to coax Pierpont out of his tower with it on the way through Frogmorton Ford.

BTW, is anyone planning on buying a mount or pack animal for their own use? Fingers can, but it's hard to stay hidden when you're riding a horse or leading a mule around.

*Edit: Or not. It's an awfully useful thing to let fall out of the game by giving it to some NPC.

Participate as desired in town threads on the 21st. The tavern has folks pre-expedition in the other groups, Bremen's entourage arrived in town, etc. When you're done, we'll advance the clock to the morning of the 23rd and have you depart back eastward. (Do you want a new thread, or are you good continuing this one?)

This thread is at 18 pages, and it's kind of handy to have the loot distribution near the end of the thread. So let's start up a new one if that's okay. We can coordinate purchasing mounts and stuff in that thread.

Why are there question marks after the XP for the two items for Bandy?

I just copy-pasted from Zhym's proposal. No reason for the ?... I removed them now.

Let me raise the mount question again: is anyone planning on buying a horse or a pony? Or should we pitch in on a couple of mounts and one or more retainers to handle them, with the plan of selling the horses back?

With 1310 lbs of silver that we know is there, we could buy a mule, a pony, and a riding horse, all with battle familiarity, for a total of 220 gp and carry 1300 lbs at 60' movement rate. If we assume we can resell the mounts for half price when we get back to town, that's a cost of 110 gp plus retainers and feed. Handwave all that and we'd probably clear 1100 gp on the silver alone, assuming it's still there.

Does anyone in this group have decent charisma (no need to respond, onlyme ;))? It might make sense to have them do the shopping if so. Otherwise, Fingers can do it.

Bandy has a pony he was stabling for the time being. He can bring her along this time, if someone else is bringing a mount as well. We might hire two mercs to watch the mounts if we do such a thing, though, to prevent pilfering.
