Earc invokes the power of earth through his molding of a bit of clay -- light bursts forth from one of the largest wargs eyes, eliciting a howl of fear and dismay. Two of the goblins are up, the others lie unmoving in the brush. The goblins stay at the edge of the clearing, yelling catcalls and looking for a place to fire their bows into melee. One grazes Hereward
(-1), the other lands a solid shot in the rump of the blinded warg, who howls anew
(-6).
The party's weapons flash in the chaos, slicing into the furry foes. Funil and Steve are able to take down one of the wargs together
(-8, -5), while Florian fells the warg wounded by Hereward last round
(-3). Olaf's stout blow finishes his foe as well
(-5) adding a third corpse to the pile. Halfpint lands a solid blow on the largest warg
(-5), injuring it and causing it to miss its bite at Steve. Three wargs are slain, two injured, three still hale.
The wargs are a blur of fur and chaos, but find no success, meeting with the party's shields on every turn. Drunil, Steve, Olaf, and Florian all bat away their massive jaws without injury. The largest warg howls, giving a signal to retreat - the wargs attempt to disengage and flee back the way they came.
