Bremen considers the mountain peaks above, stretching up above the almost ever-present clouds. This mountain range, considered so massive as to be the end of the world, is even more opposing up-close. It is no wonder that humanity didn't dare to seek to cross it for over three thousand years. The 'mountain' you are circling, below which the dwarves delved, is 5-6 miles around and little more than a toe-hump compared to the peaks that tower above your heads southward where the giant roc retreated.
Father Clauson steps up and offers his healing as well, completely sealing Stantz's wounds. He then turns to the much younger Piers and gives him a paternal smile.
"Father Clauson," he introduces, giving a humble nod of his head, his white vestments over his banded mail, which he wears with comfort.
"I am indeed Spiritual Advisor to his excellence, the Lord Commander. I would be glad to shed illumination on any matters spiritual or temporal for you - it is a great honor to restore the White Knights and the purity of our following in this land," he further offers to Piers.
"I appreciate your skillful ministrations to our man-at-arms. If you'd like to join us, it is our custom to lead devotions for our men daily at dusk and dawn, or at the least, when rising and sleeping."
Clauson:
With the decision to camp, Father Clauson does just that. The nine mounts are cared for and hobbled to graze on the sparse mountain grass. He gathers together Stantz, Bremen, and the six other knights into kneeling ranks for service, intoning over them the supplications to Baudh for righteous direction in their actions, that they might be an instrument of divine justice, that his excellence the Lord Commander be granted the divine wisdom of leadership, and their bodies be strengthened by this rest and devotion.
The six knights then pair off to establish watches, turning away offers to assist, as theirs is the duty to protect. A campfire is established in a sheltered cleft and after a simple meal, everyone is able to bed down for some needed rest.
Eight hours pass without incident, everyone able to recover from their night's exertions. The spellcasters are able to restore themselves and Baxtaw is reasonably confident that this time he has the correct bearings on the sun-fields, which should lie upslope from where you are now, achievable with about two-hours hike.
