Rhybek grumbles, but walks towards Amistad and Achaedany and the horse to see if they need any help. And to protect Achaedany's back while she helps pull Amistad out of the pit.

When he gets closer, he calls out, "Lots of kobold traps around here. I'll try and help point out where they are. We have them marked."

I don't remember opeing the second shed with Able, et al. Just the one with the elf body. Is the second shed empty or am I misremembering? (Yes. I know that isn't a real word.)

Clay looks at the scene and catches Clarabelle's eye. Not wanting to seem heartless, he casts Find Traps and starts toward the pavillion to mark them with her help. Once that is done, he continues toward the barn and then the spider-building to mark as many traps as he can before the spell elapses. The horse wouldn't fare as well if she were to fall in one of those, he explains. If there is still time left, he will start to inspect the moose-goose barn, opening the door a crack.

'Blackjack' Amistad

curses his luck to fall into the pit. He climbs out, taking a few of the stakes and gives them to Rhybek to mark the ground. Then he will head into the warehouse more warily with Achaedany and assess the salvage. The place had some hybrids nesting here before so we should notice them or hear them. As much as he is able he will try not to disturb nests.

Clay detects the remaining pit traps and marks them with Rhybek's help. He is able to mark two more between the cart and the pavillion and three pits along the trail that leads out the pavillion's other side toward the forest. He then marks one that lies in the narrow causeway between the pavillion and the mill house. His spell doesn't last long enough to reach the stables where the spiders were seen.

Achaedany gets Amistad out of the pit and then follows him, leading the horse and cart around the pits and into the pavillion. The pavillion is a long, broad roof which has sagged, caving in at several places and growing grasses and the like below. Giant logs are mounded on the north and south sides of the pavillions in piles, barring passage as effectively as walls, and forcing movement largely through the central pathway through the middle of the long pavillion and out the other end. He finds large rat-lizards nesting in the logs and perched atop them, but they scatter at the group's approach, apparently still smarting from the last encounter. He sees the winching equipment still in the pavillion and assesses he'll have little difficulty in taking it.

Clay waddles to the mill house next door, opening the door a crack. Peering in, it seems that several of the moose-geese still are nesting within.

Before the meese-geese have a chance to get upset, Clay uses his badger-eyes to look for signs of any plants that might be growing inside the barn.

I never thought to memorize speak with animal so I could negotiate a way through the barn for us. And now I don't have Find traps anymore...
I am hoping to entangle these things.

There are not enough plants indoors to entangle.

The open roof hatch above and the window opposite the door provide dim light into the room. While there's some straggly seeds which have taken root, it appears that the meese-geese enjoy eating them.

'Blackjack' Amistad

Directs Achaedany to check out any trigger traps and kobold darts rady to spring from the chain links, block and tackle castings or pulleys. Then he will spend the hours necessary to haul them with the help of Galavan onto the cart. It might be a couple of hours working together but worth it to secure the equipment. When that is done he will check on the progress of the others.

"This is boring," says Lug as Amistad starts loading up winching gear. "What're we gonna do while jerkface collects his hardware?"

Rhybek shrugs, "Well, there's spiders over in the horse barn. Dunno what sorts of goodies is in there; we saw the spiders and let them be the first time."

How many meese-geese are we talking about? 10? 20? 150?
And this is a mill house? A saw mill? What else does he see inside? He will venture a couple steps inside if the geese seem indifferent to him. With instructions for Clarabelle to stay out of sight, but to be sure the door doesn't shut/lock him in.

What was the horses name from the stables? Sorry Chocolate is the draft horse. Was busy typing an Idriss action to mirror foxys' horse

The sawmill - roughly ten feet east of the pavilion, is a squat stone-and-mortar construction about 40 feet square. The roof has caved in onto the second story floor but the walls are still fairly solid. A gaping doorway on the south side of the structure allows access, the door that once hung there long hauled away. There is an open window on the north face, broken stones where shutter brackets once were attached.

The room itself was the sawmill which serviced the logging pavilion next door. The scything trap on the door you just opened hangs flaccid, previously disarmed by Fingers McGraw. Since you identified and marked all the traps in this area, I'll show you the map. The rest remain in place, you're just aware of them.

As Clay step in, he alerts the group that the north-facing window - the only other aperture to this enclosed, dim space - also has a trap of some kind on it. More pressing, however, are the shelves of nesting goose-like creatures which you have disturbed. About a dozen birds are here, covered in muted green feathers with a body shaped like a goose's. Its face resembles that of a moose and its eyes remind you of a mouse's. It has a pair of mid-length antlers and a pair of bat-like wings.

These misshapen and unfortunate creatures appear to be guarding nests upon which they crouch. They are intensely unfriendly, honking at you in warning as they toss their moose-y antlers and flap their bat-like wings. The nests are on broad shelves which once held lumber, attached to all three side walls (excepting the one you're entering through. Most of a rotted ladder remains in the far left corner, leading up to a hatchway which has collapsed inward from the second floor above, dumping trash to the floor and letting in some light. A pair of cargo doors is above your head in the floor above as well, currently closed.

'Blackjack' Amistad

steers clear of the trigger points for the rolling logs. If Choco the draft horse can pull the chains out of the building in one motion that might help. We can unlock or dismantle the winch and tackle sets in order. Once the equipment is loaded on the cart he will help the others search the remaining barns.

With Chocolate and the cart at-hand, Achaedany and Amistad make quick work of loading the bronze winching and chains. They are able to rejoin the group before the others act to join Clay.

No reason to force Amistad out of the gameplay.

Clay backs out of the barn and confides to the others. These... things are unnatural abominations. Almost as bad as undead. It will please Beith to see them killed. Beith's healing powers flow only to those who are helping maintain the balance of nature. If you all help me clear these things out of this place, you can be sure I will heal your wounds. Anyone interested in helping me? He pauses. Anyone got a plan?

Rhybek nods, "Aye. All the creatures around here are some weird mash-up of animals. Seems all the rumors about the morlocks we've been hearing in Gaul are true."

He looks at the barn for a long while and nods again, "Yeah, I'll help ya clear them out. Let's not forget the chicken-lizards on the roof what lay the golden eggs, though."

Clay gives Rhybek a tooth-filled snarl. When Clarabelle looks alarmed, he realizes smiling might not look the same as a badger. Uh.. Yeah. We'll definitely get to it.
